Compensation
Compensation for this role is between $56,000 to $83,000.
Starting pay is determined using various factors including but not limited to relevant full-time teaching experience, education certifications, and tenure with Uncommon Schools. Candidates without full-time Teaching experience will likely have a starting salary of $56,000.

The Upper School English position will include teaching four classes each semester and participating fully in the residential and co-curricular life of the school. Full-time Upper School faculty members contribute to the academic, residential, and co-curricular programs in various capacities. Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma
Updated Clearances (Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse and FBI)
Experience working within an autistic support program preferred
Job Responsibilities:
Always share in the responsibility for safety of all students. This includes monitoring students in hallways and bathrooms as needed. Supervision is also needed on the playground, cafeteria and during play and leisure activities.
Assist with bus arrival, dismissal, and transport of students to/from classroom. Report student transportation concerns to classroom teacher and transportation coordinator.
Assist the classroom teacher in preparation of instructional materials. Communicate with the classroom teacher as needed regarding issues and concerns impacting the classroom program. Communicate about student's day with parents through electronic daily notes as requested by the classroom teacher.
Communicate with the administration regarding issues impacting the school program.
Maintain student confidentiality in compliance with The Family Rights and Privacy Act.
Complete additional duties as assigned and attend all required staff & parent meetings.
