About the Position:
Work every school day in an assigned elementary building
Occasionally, support another building in the district if a need arises
Guaranteed daily work at $150 per day

Qualifications:
PA Teaching Certification or the ability to obtain a PA Emergency Certification (if not PA teacher certified, a bachelor's degree in any area is required for the emergency certification).
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead and instruct students of all ages.
Ability to maintain classroom management.
Flexibility and critical-thinking skills.
Basic computer skills are recommended but not required.
Patience.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Follow the lesson plans provided by the regular Teacher to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience for students.
Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions, and maintain a positive learning environment.
Adapt teaching methods to fit the needs of each student.
Supervise students in and out of the classroom, including in the halls, playground, and cafeteria.
Provide in-class assignments based on the available lesson plans.
Take classroom attendance.

Responsibilities:
Assists staff in working with pre-school children.

Completes all forms accurately and submits them in a timely manner.
Assists classroom teacher to monitor and maintain inventory and supplies used in the classroom.
Monitors and maintains in good repair materials and equipment used in the classroom.
Provides services to assigned families with children ages three to five years.
Maintains accurate records of classroom experiences, services to children, food data, etc.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a High School diploma or GED is required. Child Development Associate credential required to complete within two years of hire date at organization's expense (by end of second school year.)
An Associate, Bachelor or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education or enrolled in Associates degree program in Early Childhood Education or related degree with at least 15 credits in Early Childhood Education or child development preferred
Valid Driver's license, Act 33, 34/151 and FBI Clearances.
