We currently have an opportunity for a Teacher Assistant to join our Bay Shore Facility. In this role, you will assist classroom staff with all classroom related duties and serve as an active facilitator of children's educational and behavioral goals by role modeling and interacting with students as part of a trans-disciplinary team. You will provide educational intervention, under the direction of the special education teacher, to help each child reach their highest level of independence. Education The qualified applicant will hold at least a high school diploma and have or be eligible for a New York State Level One (1) Teaching Assistant Certificate. Review expectations and class rules daily. Assist in creating and using individual behavior management plans when necessary.
