We are seeking compassionate and experienced Infant/Waddler, Toddler, and Pre-K Support Teachers to join our team and provide high-quality care and education to infants and 1 year old's, as well as our 2's and for our 3-5 Pre-K classrooms in our early learning child care center. The Infant/Waddler, Toddler, or Pre-K Support Teacher will be responsible for supporting the lead & assistantteachers in age-appropriate activities, diaper changes, cleaning up after activities/lunch, and communicating with parents at pick up if necessary. Responsibilities:
Assisting in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for infants/waddlers/toddlers/pre-k, including providing emotional and physical support

When necessary, communicate with parents about their child's day
Follow all policies and procedures related to the care and education of infants/waddlers/toddlers/pre-k including adhering to safety protocols and maintaining accurate records

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Education and Experience

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Classroom Aide to join our team. Classroom Aides support Lead Teachers and Teaching Assistants to provide a high quality, multicultural, inclusive educational experience to prepare all children and families for life and school.
Essential Functions:
Assist the teaching team in maintaining a healthy, safe, and warm classroom environment through effective supervision, developmentally appropriate practices that allows learning through curiosity, experimentation, play and implementation of individualized plans.
Assist the teaching team in delivering weekly lesson plans by preparing materials, organizing supplies, and helping keep children on task.
Assist teaching team in completion of Teaching Strategies Gold observations and checkpoint data to assess child growth and development.
Engage in warm, caring interactions and fun, imaginative play with children.
Provide support for children's behavior with evidence-based strategies.
Assist with general maintenance, organization, and security of the facility.
Qualifications:
Must meet one of the following education qualifications:
Preschool (3-5 years) Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Experience working with children ages 5 and under.
Able to communicate in English verbally and in writing.
Bilingual in a language spoken by DLEC parents (Spanish, Amharic, Cantonese, and Vietnamese) preferred.
Pay Range: $20.98 - $25.57 hourly

Position Summary

Duties
Under the supervision of the lead teacher, the assistantteacher works in collaboration with the other classroom teachers to provide quality early childhood education to the children in his/her classroom. The teacher also works with and provides support to families. •Provide for the planning and execution of appropriate early childhood experiences that align with the curriculum plan of BELC
•Help children learn in a manner consistent with a play-based curriculum, developmentally appropriate practices, and incorporate an emergent curriculum whenever possible
•Observe and document children's development and interests to use as a resource in planning daily activities that are appropriate (interesting, meets child's style of learning, etc.), culturally relevant, and meet the program guidelines and goals.
•Demonstrates and models an effective use of language. Is thoughtful in use of open ended questions and scaffolding comments. Helps children to think creatively, to solve problems independently, and to respect themselves and other.
•Create and maintain an enriched learning environment that is orderly in its appearance, safe and provides learning opportunities for all children
•Promote children's healthy eating, resting, and hygiene habits; support children's self-regulation in these areas
•Demonstrates effective classroom management techniques using the principles of natural and logical consequences. Handles discipline issues effectively and in a fair manner. Supervise all activities to insure the safety of each child at all times, in the center, on the playground, and in the community.
