Compensation

The position requires a minimum of High School Diploma/GED, with completion of the ETS ParaPro Assessment or a minimum of an Associate's Degree/60 college credits. The paraprofessional must successfully complete the district's onboarding process and comply with all relevant district policies and regulations and state and federal laws.

Instruction

* Supports students in instructional and non-instructional settings i.e. outside school job sites.
* Communicates with the teacher in regards to student academics and behaviors.
* Implements de-escalation strategies and restraints for crisis management.

Classroom Management
* Attends building staff meetings and professional development meetings.
* Maintains an up-to-date record of pupil progress per IEP.
* Assists at rehearsals of pupil plays, field trips, emergency drills, and district-sponsored events during the school day.
* Operates audio-visual equipment at the direction of the teacher.
* Assists in supervision of all students during playground, gross motor, rest and lunch time duties

Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree before your first day of work with Success Academy
A rigorous and relevant academic major (i.e, biology, history, chemistry, economics, physics, English, mathematics, engineering)
Ability to work in person in New York City ($2500 stipend for qualified relocations)
Supervise a classroom of 20+ students

pays $17.00 hourly. The hours for this position are M-F 8:00am - 3:30 pm
QSAC is seeking dedicated and energetic Teacher's Aide 1:1, who provide direct instructional services to students under the general supervision of a New York State certified teacher. The role focuses on one-on-one or small group instruction as outlined by the supervising teacher. A Teacher's Aide supports the students' recreation, motor, vocational, socialization and communication, leisure and motor skills through the use of behavior analytic teaching procedures.
Additional job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ensure health, safety & welfare of individuals.
Aide classroom teacher as needed.
Maintain student engagement and support student in participation in classroom activities.
Maintain student safety.
Maintain participant/family confidentiality.
Complete required program documentation/certifications (e.g. Employee Medicals, PPD, CPR, etc. as required).
Commitment to company values and adherence to policies.
Punctuality and regular attendance is expected.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or senior management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED.
