As an Instructional Aide, you'll play a vital role in shaping the success of Elementary School students by providing personalized support, supervision and guidance both in the classroom and within the community. Collaborating closely with classroom educators, you'll help assist with implementing each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP), tailoring instruction to their unique learning. Maintaining strict confidentiality of all student records and information at all times.
Participating actively in assurance and accreditation activities, contributing to achieving site performance standards and accreditation requirements.
Participating in school-wide, student-parent, and advisory meetings to foster collaborative support networks and positive educational outcomes.

‖ Qualifications Required:
Associate degree or higher in education or a closely related field of study.
Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a paraprofessional, paraeducator, education assistant or similar credential.
Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a registered behavior technician (RBT) credential preferred.
Ability to obtain and maintain certification in company approved crisis management training.
Prior experience working with children, preferably in an alternative, special education and/or behavioral health program setting.
Highly skilled in working with children with severe learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, emotional behavioral disorders and/or other related disabilities.
Ability to think and act quickly and calmly in an emergency and make independent decisions.
Proficiency in providing motivation and having critical conversations with students that help move them toward realistic goals.
Solid motivational skills and willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and new initiatives.
Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability.
Knowledge of relevant technology including experience with instructional technology, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry and basic office equipment.

Your Role
We're looking for an enthusiastic, adaptable Assistant Guides (Teachers) to support a mixed-age class of Infants, Toddler, and Preschool (ages 3-6) children in a Montessori environment.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in creating an engaging and welcoming environment for children and families.
Support the implementation of Tierra Encantada's curriculum and lesson plans through participation in planned activities and lessons.
Support the Lead Teacher in daily classroom routines and scheduling including transitions, snack times, and activity preparation.
Help maintain classroom organization by ensuring supplies are stocked and equipment is cleaned and stored properly.Observe and interact with children to support their individual developmental needs.
Provide feedback to the Lead Teacher regarding children's progress and areas needing support.
Assist in preparing materials and documentation for parent-teacher conferences.
Maintain open and positive communication with parents to support their child's growth and development.
Share daily updates with families as directed by the Lead Teacher.
Build strong, collaborative relationships with co-workers and contribute to a supportive team environment.
Must fulfill required training requirements, and support Center objectives in achieving accreditation.

Position Requirements
Qualified candidates will truly love children and enjoy spending their time with children. Qualified candidates will fulfill the following requirement qualifications:
Must be fluent in Spanish.
Strong communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with families and co-workers.
Physical ability to perform essential job functions without health restrictions. This includes the ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time, to have unrestricted use of the upper and lower body, hearing and vision within normal ranges to be able to adequately ensure the children's safety, to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, to chase a fleeing child, to join children's play actively, and the ability to bend, squat, kneel, reach, and climb stairs.
Provide a certificate of completion of an approved pediatric first aid and CPR training within 90 days of hire. Employees are responsible for renewing and maintaining a valid, current CPR and pediatric first aid certification at all times
Must have a respect for diversity and recognize that diversity makes our program better
Must have the ability to complete annual required trainings to ensure providing high-quality early education
Familiarity with childcare licensing requirements, safety protocols, and best practices in early education.
