Successful candidates will have a strong music and/or background evidenced by a degree in music, equivalent performing experience, a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young students, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check.
Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $30-35/hour. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available to all of our employees after 90 days on the job.

Completion of the South Carolina Early Childhood Credential (ECD 101)
At least 6 months of experience in a regulated child care facility
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
Successful completion of an FBI and SLED background check
Annual completion of 15 hours of training, including:
5 hours in child growth and development
5 hours in curriculum activities for children
Remaining hours in health, safety, or other child care-related topics
Current Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications
If transporting children, a valid Class C driver's license with a clean Department of Public Safety record, plus 2 hours of transportation training annually

Duties
Design and follow a full schedule of activities and discover suitable teaching material
Balance your teaching between logical and social exercises
Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc.) to enhance the child's abilities
Evaluate children's performance to make sure they are on the right learning track
Observe children's interactions and promote the spirit of concord
Identify behavioral problems and determine the right course of corrective action
Adhere to teaching standards and safety regulations as established by the official sources
Requirements
Fingerprints and background check a must
6 months to 1 year of professional experience working with children in a childcare environment preferred; however, OCLC is willing to train.
High School diploma or GED is required. Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related degree preferred.
Must adhere to state specific guidelines.
CPR and First Aid Certification or the ability to obtain is required.
