    Job Description St. Jerome's Academy in Hyattsville Maryland is hiring a Montessori Toddler Room Assistant for the 2025-26 school year. This is a part-time role for 16 hours per week (8:00am to 12:00pm) and will report to the Principal. The pay rate for this role is $16.00 to $18.00 per hour Please forward your resume and letter of interest to: ************************** St. Jerome Academy begins with a Montessori House made up of four classrooms: one toddler room and three primary rooms. In all four rooms, students engage in developmentally appropriate Montessori works. Each classroom has an Atrium for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. Students complete a three-hour work cycle each morning. One group of toddler students attends on Mondays and Tuesdays; another attends on Thursdays and Fridays. The toddler room has one lead teacher and one assistant. The teacher's assistant is responsible for assisting the lead teacher in student development, providing direction and correction for students and maintaining the environment. Needed skills include: Communication, understanding of silence, temperance, and a joyful disposition.
