General Education Teacher Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Strategies: Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with the district's curriculum, tailoring to individual student differences; utilize assessments to understand learning styles and adapt instructional activities; collaborate with special education teachers for curriculum modifications as per Individual Education Plans (IEP); and set instructional goals and methods with staff, overseeing tasks for instructional aides and volunteers.
Student Growth and Development: Conduct continuous assessments of student achievement; lead extracurricular activities and serve as a positive role model.
Classroom Management and Organization: Create a conducive learning environment, managing student behavior per the Student Code of Conduct; ensure safety and proper use of equipment, materials, and facilities; assist in selecting instructional materials and maintaining required reports and records; and establish professional relationships and communication with parents, students, colleagues, and community members.
Professional Growth and Development: Participate in staff development activities; comply with state, district, and school regulations and policies; and attend faculty meetings and serve on staff committees.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Direct the work of assigned instructional aides.
General Education Teacher Qualifications:
Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university; valid State teaching certificate with required endorsements and training for the subject and level assigned; demonstrated competency in the assigned core academic subject area; and Physical Education Teachers: Current automated external defibrillator (AED) certificate.
Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of the assigned core academic subject; understanding of curriculum and instruction; ability to instruct students and manage their behavior; and strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience: One year of student teaching or an approved internship.

Programming
Facilitate parent-child interactive activities. There are 3 core programs:
Gymboree classes include age appropriate play activities on our custom designed play equipment, songs, parachute play, and bubbles.
Music classes involve instrument activities, singing, dancing and exploring a variety of music styles from around the world.
Candidates must possess music background to teach Gymboree Music classes.
Arts classes offer hands-on, process-oriented activities including painting, sculpting, collage making and dress-up time, in addition to movement activities and songs that support different art themes explored.

Teach a minimum of two birthday parties per month.
