RESPONSIBILITIES
SUMMARY: Perform a full range of educational/non-educational duties for the specific intensive needs of primarily one student.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Provide instructional and behavioral support in all academic and related areas as directed by the teacher primarily for an individual student.

Apply de-escalation strategies and manage classroom behavior.
Perform restraints, if required or applicable, after attending district approved trainings.
Participate in required Medicaid and Random Moment in Time Study provider trainings. Document personal care and/or delegated nursing services on a regular basis in EZEDMed system for Medicaid reimbursement purposes.
Maintain confidential information as directed.
Provide support for any student as directed.

Position Summary: The Summer Camp Educator is responsible for leading all aspects of a camp classroom during the 2026 Summer Camp season. Leading a camp classroom successfully requires that the Summer Camp Educator, teach curriculum, monitor a room of up to 25 learners ages 5-9 and complete all other responsibilities associated with adhering to the requirements of the facility childcare licensure.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Lead all functions of daily camp programming including implementation and logistics onsite at Butterfly Pavilion.
Teach interactive nature-based summer camps to youth, ages 5 - 9.
Work collaboratively with co-counselors in providing and implementing camp curriculum and activities as needed.
Use live animals to demonstrate science-based concepts to camp participants.
Implement all policies & procedures to meet the State license requirements.
Effectively manage classroom of 25 children.
Attend required branch and facility meetings as needed.
Medication Administration for all children that require medication in camp (Training will be provided).

Availability, Seasonal Commitment & Time Off:
This is a seasonal, full-time position with a short, fixed employment period. Summer Camp Educators are expected to be available for the full duration of the camp season to ensure a high-quality and consistent experience for campers. Due to the nature of summer camp programming and the need for consistent staffing, employees may request up to one (1) week of unpaid time off during the season, subject to approval, and that doesn't conflict with other staff's time off, either as one full week or as individual days totaling one week. They must also be free from communicable diseases and current on all immunizations routinely recommended for adults. In rare and extreme situations, staff at the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) may be required to assist in safely holding a youth for up to 60 seconds.
