Position : Guest Substitute Teacher
Salary: $35/hour or $245/daily
Job Description: Almaden Country Day School is seeking elementary and middle school substitute teachers. Substitutes must have some classroom experience. Core classes include language arts/literature, math, and social studies; specialists teach science, PE, art, music, French, and Spanish. Lesson plans will be available.
Schedule: At times, teachers know in advance that they will be absent, and at other times, there is no advanced notice. Substitutes are not expected to be available at all times. Additionally, substitutes are invited to clarify which grades and content areas they prefer teaching. The school day is from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, with substitute teachers' work hours from 7:45 am - 3:15 pm.

7. Supervises student activities during the normal school day excluding the time set aside for duty-free lunch.

9. Participates in faculty meetings and established in-service programs both during and after the normal school day as limited by the certificated agreement with the exclusive representative of the certificated teachers' bargaining unit.
10. Maintains professional competence.
