We are looking for experienced educators who have a passion for teaching! For over 21 years, the Pasadena Educational Foundation's Summer Enrichment Program has mixed academic subjects with hands-on exploration to help prepare students for the upcoming school year.
Our 5-week morning program has 2 formats.
Younger students (TK - 2nd grade) will spend the entire morning program in one self-contained/intro classroom.
Older students (grades 2 and up) typically split their morning schedule into 3 blocks. Each block is a little over an hour long and has a different group of students. Most teachers teach the same class in each block.
This year, our program is for students in grades TK-8. We will no longer offer courses designed for high school students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Academics and School Culture

Consistently implements required and appropriate adaptations and modifications for English Learners, Special Education students, and 504 students
Attends and participates in Student Success Team, Parent/Teacher Advisory Council, and other school-based meetings and activities as well as professional development training
Assumes supervision duties as determined by the site, and may occasionally be asked to substitute a period

Master's degree in subject matter field or Education is strongly preferred
Must possess a current California teaching credential with proper Subject Matter Authorization in for the position applied for or be enrolled in a credentialing/internship program at a college/university
Solid knowledge of subject matter, including California Common Core State Standards and subject-specific frameworks and assessments
Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative student data
Physical demands:
Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
Occasional or frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping and reaching for extended periods of time
