As a Teaching Aide, you will support the classroom teacher by working with individuals and small groups to reinforce instructional material.
In this role, you will get the opportunity to positively contribute to the lives of children in special education and make a meaningful impact on their development. This role comes with a competitive hourly rate between $19 - $22 per hour, paid weekly. With this role there is no requirement to work weekends and will be on a Monday to Friday schedule within hours of 7/7:30 - 3:00/4:30 pm. Total weekly hours are typically 25-35. This position is for the 2024-2025 school year.

Vaughn Next Century Learning Center (“Vaughn”), located in Pacoima, is a large urban public school within the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). Since the early 1970s, low student achievement had been a pattern. In 1993, tired of being helpless and hopeless, Vaughn became the first conversion charter school in the nation and was authorized by LAUSD. The charter was renewed most recently in 2018. Vaughn has over 30 years of experience as a successful independent charter school serving the district's low-income students. This previously failing elementary public school is now a full-service, community-based, K-12th charter school that assures all students are college/career ready, digitally literate, and globally competent.
DESCRIPTION
Passionate and experienced dance teacher sought to spearhead the development of a comprehensive multi-level dance curriculum at our high school. This full-time role encompasses foundational to advanced classes. The ideal candidate will possess expertise across diverse dance styles, a talent for engaging and motivating students in grades 9 - 12, and exceptional teaching abilities.
