For over 21 years, the Pasadena Educational Foundation's Summer Enrichment Program has mixed academic subjects with hands-on exploration to help prepare students for the upcoming school year. Our 5-week morning program has 2 formats. Younger students (TK - 2nd grade) will spend the entire morning program in one self-contained/intro classroom. Older students (grades 2 and up) typically split their morning schedule into 3 blocks. Each block is a little over an hour long and has a different group of students. Most teachers teach the same class in each block. This year, our program is for students in grades TK-8. We will no longer offer courses designed for high school students. REQUIRED EDUCATION: Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (or enrollment in a graduate program with completion within 2 years of hire). Completion of at least 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units, including: Child Development 101 (Introduction to Child Development) The Child, Family, and Community One curriculum-focused course One additional child development elective *Course titles may vary by institution but should reflect equivalent subject matter.
