Adapted Physical Education Specialist Teacher Key Responsibilities:
Adapted PE Services: Deliver and consult on Adapted PE sessions, designing programs to address physical fitness, gross motor skills, perceptual motor skills, and sports achievements tailored to individual IEP needs.
IEP Process & Goals: Actively participate in the IEP process from referral to implementation, including assessments, report writing, meetings, and goal development.
Progress Evaluation & Reporting: Monitor and evaluate pupil progress, providing periodic reports on achievement and personal adjustment. Maintain accurate records of progress, goals, attendance, and parent interactions.
Ongoing Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest research and trends in Adaptive PE. Maintain flexibility and collaboration to ensure alignment with evolving regulations and school programs.
Event Attendance & Additional Duties: Attend in-person events as needed and perform other assigned responsibilities.
Adapted Physical Education Specialist Teacher Qualifications:
Credential Requirements: Valid Teaching Credential with authorization to teach Adapted Physical Education.

We are looking for experienced educators who have a passion for teaching! For over 21 years, the Pasadena Educational Foundation's Summer Enrichment Program has mixed academic subjects with hands-on exploration to help prepare students for the upcoming school year.
Our 5-week morning program has 2 formats.
Younger students (TK - 2nd grade) will spend the entire morning program in one self-contained/intro classroom.
Older students (grades 2 and up) typically split their morning schedule into 3 blocks. Each block is a little over an hour long and has a different group of students. Most teachers teach the same class in each block.
This year, our program is for students in grades TK-8. We will no longer offer courses designed for high school students.

Duties:
Utilize computer to reformat work for students visual needs. Templates provided does not require knowledge of vision impairment.
Assist in the planning and implementation of lesson plans that are designed to meet student needs. Curriculum is provided.
Provide one-on-one instruction daily.
Implement individualized student-centered learning experiences
Assist with monitoring student performance
Provide for the safety and well-being of student. Student uses a wheelchair and does require assistance with all activities for daily living (ADL) such as eating and bathroom use.
Other duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Education OR Special Education OR related field and/or related experience preferred
Computer Knowledge PowerPoint, Excel, Word
Fluency in reading/writing English
Excellent communication skills
Able to work independently
Problem solver

Job Type: Monday Friday
Day shift: 7am-2:15pm. Some overnight hours available if interested.

Center-based Early Care and Education programs are open year round from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m Monday though Friday. Duties include:

Master Teachers work directly with children, parents, and members of their teaching team to provide a developmentally appropriate program for young children. They demonstrate and train staff and practicum students, implement emergent curriculum, provide a learning environment for the whole child, incorporate all learning styles in their classrooms and demonstrate a commitment and understanding of anti-bias education and its implementation.
Master teachers have an important role in the classroom and in the school. They lead a small collaborative team of experienced teachers in developing an emergent curriculum, and supporting children's thinking and individual development. Other responsibilities include: teaching, parent relations, home-school communications and connections, furthering school-wide initiatives along with other master teachers.
Master Teachers are ultimately responsible for the overall coordination and operation of the entire program and report directly to the Executive Director of the Children's School.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
