GLSP seeks a domestic violence staff attorney with at least three (3) years of legal experience to work in Valdosta, Georgia. Primary Responsibilities: Litigate cases in administrative, state and federal forums, with a focus on domestic violence survivors; Case work will focus on domestic violence cases, but also encompass kinship cases, elder law cases and other legal issues affecting domestic violence survivors; Draft briefs, motions, and memoranda; Conduct community legal education sessions and engage in outreach activities; and Participate on action teams that explore and solve systemic issues affecting clients. Requirements: Graduate of accredited law school; Admission to the Georgia Bar, or willingness to sit for the next exam; Reliable vehicle and driver's license; and Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
