POSITION OVERVIEW:
Under supervision, learns to perform inspections and investigations in food, dairy, and processing plants to ensure compliance with established state and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
* Assists with the implementation of programs to detect specific diseases in cooperation with state, federal, and industry standards.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
* Inspects and investigates food manufacturing facilities.
* Performs duties in a manner to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), and Model Ordinance (MO) requirements.
* Collects samples of food finished products, processed products, environmental swabs, and water samples as necessary from all firms in assigned areas of responsibility and/or as directed according to established procedures.
* Transports samples to laboratories for analysis within the prescribed timeframe
* Provides knowledge, skills, and experience to assist and guide colleagues and management.
* Performs State/FDA Contract Inspections, HACCP Inspections, Shellfish Inspections, and other specialized inspections as assigned.
* Maintains a working knowledge of current policies, laws, regulations, and guidance documents.
* Attends training sessions, meetings, and conferences.
* Provides consultation, information sharing, technical assistance, and in-service training to food personnel, industry, and other personnel regarding health and food sanitation, rules and regulations, and their enforcement.
* Maintains working relationships with the food industry and related entities, including federal, state, and local agencies.
* Prepares and completes agency, state, and federal forms as required.

Job Title: Administrative Services Technician Description: The Administrative Services Specialist is responsible for a variety of complex operational accounting functions such as inventory control, assets, balancing, etc. Position reports to the Accounts Receivable Director.
Major Duties:
* Responsible for entry into TeamWorks Asset Management module for additions, modifications, transfers, disposals, and deletions of inventory/property items.
* Maintains asset records and ensures that inventory is completed on an annual basis.
* Reconciles capital assets to the general ledger.
* Prepares GAAP entries for assets, TRS, ERS, OPEB, and Insurance.
* Daily receiving into the TeamWorks Purchasing Module of all items received by the college for payment.
* Assists with the year-end close-out process.
* Balances and reconciles accounting records, such as journals, ledgers, batch reports, and bank statements.
* Prepares and monitors purge list and works with students, staff, and faculty to resolve balances owed.
* Reconciles reports in Modern Campus and enters any cash or check payments.
* Reconciles credit card reports and handles customer credit card disputes.
* Provides backup to cashier's office.
* Other duties as assigned.

* Valid GA Driver License
Driver's License Requirement: Valid GA Driver License
Monetary Transactions:
* This position may perform monetary transactions, such as receiving cash, check, and credit card payments.
* Position will require a credit check.
Physical Demands:
* The employee occasionally lifts or moves objects of a light to medium weight.
* Work is typically performed with the employee sitting at a desk in an office environment with intermittent sitting, standing, or walking in various settings.
* Full range of hand and finger motion is utilized for data entry purposes.
Travel Requirements: Occasional travel to peer groups or other training/conferences, other campuses, and various locations
Training Requirements:
* Employee understands and agrees to complete all required trainings, to include those mandated by the State of Georgia Governor, by stated deadlines, as a condition of employment.
