TeachingArtists (ages 22+) support their Lead TeachingArtist and a team of Apprentices (ages 14-21) to create a public art and community impact project on a seasonal basis (Summer). This job is available to artists with advanced technical skills who are excited to share their craft with the next generation. Seasonal project teams most often paint massive outdoor murals, but past projects have also included creative writing, dance, fashion, filmmaking, photography, and research. TeachingArtists' objective is twofold: to support the successful completion of a seasonal project; and to nurture Apprentices' skills in collaboration, communication, creativity, critical thinking, goal orientation, and growth orientation.
TeachingArtist wages are $24.37 an hour. TeachingArtists work 30 hours per week for an 8-week period, beginning in early June. Scheduled work hours are subject to change owing to inclement weather, but are typically between 8am - 4pm, Monday through Thursday. TeachingArtists must attend mandatory orientation the week of May 26-29 between 9am - 5pm (exact hours TBD).
Key Job Responsibilities:
Report directly to the Lead TeachingArtist assigned to the project.
Support in the oversight of Apprentices assigned to the project.
Support the Lead TeachingArtist with the development and execution of the project's weekly plans.
Provide hands on technical artistic support for the project through instruction to Apprentices.
Lead the organization and maintenance of the project's studio site, materials, and PPE.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The topics include estate planning/disability planning, Medicare, Medicaid HCBS/LTSS/LTC, long term care advocacy, housing, alternatives to guardianship/conservatorship, medical-legal capacity, paid family and medical leave, and elder abuse.
THE ROLE
The Consortium Teaching Fellowship is a one-year, full-time grant funded position for lawyers at any career stage interested in honing teaching and training skills while providing a broad range of outreach, legal research, and other support as part of a small project team. The fellowship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, interprofessional environment and deepen medical-legal knowledge on issues related to aging, caregiving, and health care delivery. The Consortium Teaching Fellow reports to Consortium Executive Director and Associate Dean Sarah Hooper and collaborates with the Medical-Legal Partnership for Seniors team and other Consortium staff.
The Consortium Teaching fellow will:
Conduct strategic outreach to health systems stakeholders across the United States;

The successful Fellow will be comfortable engaging in outreach and training with a range of stakeholders, bringing exceptional communication skills, tact, and a collaborative mindset. They should be willing and able to get up to speed quickly on other areas of law and approach teaching and training with a continual learning mindset.
The successful fellow will have excellent legal research, analysis, and writing skills and be capable of independently driving assigned projects forward with attention to detail. The Fellow must be highly proficient in project management, possessing the organizational skills and judgment necessary to establish priorities and meet multiple deadlines.
The Fellow may work in a hybrid or fully remote manner but must be highly responsive by email and available for meetings during West Coast hours (e.g. San Francisco time). Occasional travel required to attend conferences and convenings. Phase 2 involves YPP TeachingArtists leading teams of volunteers as they rehearse and then stage a play reading in each participating classroom. About Your Schedule
Chautauqua Institution and Chautauqua Hotel Company offer flexible schedules, full and part-time, for seasonal employment during summer operations starting annually each June and concluding in August. Schedules typically include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as a requirement.

Thanks to the Kulas Foundation the Rock Hall is excited to enhance the inclusion and promotion of local musicians and deepen their involvement with the Cleveland community. The program has the power to shape artists, inspire new musical passions, and grow the influence of contemporary music in Northeast Ohio.
Through an application process we will select two or three Artists in Residence who will have the opportunity to advance as songwriters, improve their stage presence, learn about the music industry, and gain valuable hands-on marketing experience. In addition to the invaluable learning experience, the Artists in Residence will receive a paid stipend. This is your chance to perform for audiences of all ages in a positive space, write new songs, try new material, learn the skills necessary to advance in the music industry and improve your knowledge in the history of rock and roll.
As part of the program, Artist in Residence will:
* Work with the Rock Hall team to create a road map for their music career development and create a plan to achieve their goals during the program. They will also walk away from the program with tangible items such as photos, merch art, and recorded songs.
* Learn from mentors in the field about performing, songwriting, audio production, contracts, performing rights organizations, and booking gigs to advance as artists, and then take actionable steps in these various areas.
* Play weekly sets at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, as well as possible offsite venues, over the course of the summer.
* Work with our dynamic and creative Marketing team to develop and elevate the Artist's social media, receive media training, and learn other marketing techniques.
* Gain experience marketing themselves and a venue from digital/social to hands on grassroots direct marketing and points between.
* Learn performance stage setup and gain hands on audio experience so they can confidently work with sound professionals in venues and studios.
* Work with artists to build on specific music skills, such as instrument proficiency or songwriting.
* Record tracks and a music video onsite in the Hall of Fame.
* Learn to augment solo performance with musicians that sit in and/or electronic enhancements.
* Commit to providing 20-30 hours each week to the program either virtually or onsite for a minimum of 10 weeks.
* Present on the internship experience, including a live performance of music created during the program.
* Collaborate with the other Artist in Residence for an end of summer showcase concert.
Requirements:
* Must be an active musician producing original music that is commercially available.
* High level proficiency with at least one instrument, multiple instrumentalists will be preferred.
* Proven experience performing full solo sets of primarily original music to a live audience in a night club, festival stage, or related venue.

Job Description
This part-time, seasonal position will serve as teachingartist in the Chautauqua Arts Education Young Playwrights Project (YPP). This program is a 3-phase program. Phase 1 involves school visits where the YPP TeachingArtists present an assembly followed by an in-class lesson for each classroom at each participating school that teaches 3rd and 4th grade students how to write a play. Phase 2 involves YPP TeachingArtists leading teams of volunteers as they rehearse and then stage a play reading in each participating classroom. Phase 3 involves students visiting Chautauqua Institution to see a select number of plays chosen from all submitted, with the TeachingArtists serving as the performing theater company.
The YPP TeachingArtist/Actor will work under the leadership of the Young Playwrights Project Lead TeachingArtist/Director of Plays to implement the program curriculum in the schools. This person will also serve as actor in the Phase 3 plays, working with the Young Playwrights Project Lead TeachingArtist/Director of Plays to present the final performances of student plays. This position will report to the Director of Arts Education.
About Your Compensation
The compensation for this role is $23.05/hour
Travel to and from Chautauqua Institution will be reimbursed, as well as some costs incurred for travel throughout Chautauqua County specific to school visits.

Implement program curriculum as directed by the Director of Arts Education and the Lead TeachingArtist, including performing scripted and improvisational work in the school assembly and leading classes through the playwriting process as detailed in the curricular materials

With the rest of the company, creating props/costumes/set design for the Phase 3 performances

About the Referral Program
Chautauqua Institution's Referral Bonus Program is a talent solution to recruit, develop, and retain a diverse workforce that encompasses all the skills and experience necessary to deliver on our goals and objectives. Chautauqua Institution will provide a $500 referral bonus (less taxes) for active employees referring a new candidate who is hired and remains employed for at least 90-days from the first physical date of work. In the case of seasonal positions working less than 6-months, the new candidate must remain actively employed for at least 30-days from the first physical date of work and until the closing date of the season. The closing date of the season is the last Sunday in August.
About Your Schedule
Chautauqua Institution and Chautauqua Hotel Company offer flexible schedules, full and part-time, for seasonal employment during summer operations starting annually each June and concluding in August. Seasonal employment may be available earlier (pre-season) and beyond season (post-season) based on business needs and candidate availability. Schedules typically include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as a requirement.
While you will confirm your final schedule with management at the time of an interview and offer of employment, you should generally anticipate the following schedule options for this position:
During Phase 1 and Phase 2 visits to the schools, expect between 30-40 hours per week. During pre-Phase 1 and pre-Phase 2 play preparation, expect between 10-20 hours per week. During Phase 3, expect between 30-40 hours per week.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is seeking experienced Northeast Ohio performing songwriters to join us for the summer of 2026 as part of our Artist in Residence program. This emerging artist program is presented by the Kulas Foundation and will allow two or three songwriting performers to advance their careers by working with the Hall of Fame professional staff and external partners and by regularly performing live sets on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's popular outdoor Local Artists Stage. Thanks to the Kulas Foundation the Rock Hall is excited to enhance the inclusion and promotion of local musicians and deepen their involvement with the Cleveland community. The program has the power to shape artists, inspire new musical passions, and grow the influence of contemporary music in Northeast Ohio.
Through an application process we will select two or three Artists in Residence who will have the opportunity to advance as songwriters, improve their stage presence, learn about the music industry, and gain valuable hands-on marketing experience. In addition to the invaluable learning experience, the Artists in Residence will receive a paid stipend. This is your chance to perform for audiences of all ages in a positive space, write new songs, try new material, learn the skills necessary to advance in the music industry and improve your knowledge in the history of rock and roll.
As part of the program, Artist in Residence will:
Work with the Rock Hall team to create a road map for their music career development and create a plan to achieve their goals during the program. They will also walk away from the program with tangible items such as photos, merch art, and recorded songs.
Learn from mentors in the field about performing, songwriting, audio production, contracts, performing rights organizations, and booking gigs to advance as artists, and then take actionable steps in these various areas.
Play weekly sets at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, as well as possible offsite venues, over the course of the summer.
Work with our dynamic and creative Marketing team to develop and elevate the Artist's social media, receive media training, and learn other marketing techniques.
Gain experience marketing themselves and a venue from digital/social to hands on grassroots direct marketing and points between.
Learn performance stage setup and gain hands on audio experience so they can confidently work with sound professionals in venues and studios.
Work with artists to build on specific music skills, such as instrument proficiency or songwriting.
Record tracks and a music video onsite in the Hall of Fame.
Learn to augment solo performance with musicians that sit in and/or electronic enhancements.
Commit to providing 20-30 hours each week to the program either virtually or onsite for a minimum of 10 weeks.
Present on the internship experience, including a live performance of music created during the program.
Collaborate with the other Artist in Residence for an end of summer showcase concert.
Requirements:
Must be an active musician producing original music that is commercially available.
High level proficiency with at least one instrument, multiple instrumentalists will be preferred.
Proven experience performing full solo sets of primarily original music to a live audience in a night club, festival stage, or related venue.
Proven songwriting experience.
