DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Instructional Support
* Assists in planning, implementing and supervising constructivist classroom including developmentally appropriate guidance, environment, activities, and group gatherings

* Assists in providing immediate feedback to practicum students; completes these duties in the absence of Instructional Specialist

* Assists in organization and offering of parent education and communication program
* Participate in Parent Resource Center operation

* Maintains safe, clean and orderly facility and educational resources
* Implements plans for facility organization
* May help prepare snacks and meals according to Child Development Center and State licensing guidelines
* Follows guidelines established for licensed child care centers in the State of Oregon and maintains all required individual certifications, including, but not limited to, Oregon Child Care Registry, ORO, Food Handler's Card, and First Aid/CPR

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent required. CDA (Child Development Associate Certificate), CDA equivalent certification, an Associates' Degree in Early Childhood Education, or documentation of current enrollment in a program that will lead to an associate's or baccalaureate degree, is required. Must have experience working with children ages 3-5 and be willing to obtain additional training as requested; or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Ability to work with young children in an accepting, positive manner. Must be able to work as a team with educational staff. Ability to work and organize duties in a timely manner. Bilingual (Spanish/ English) is desirable.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess and maintain a valid Oregon driver's license, Food Handlers certification, First Aid and CPR certification, and health verification.
