Paraprofessional / Behavior Interventionist Paraprofessional / Behavior Interventionist Schedule: M-F regular school hours Paraprofessional / Behavior Interventionist Salary: $16-$22/hr. Paraprofessional / Behavior Interventionist Job Description: Support students in achieving academic success, including those who may display disruptive behavior, with a focus on behavior management and physical intervention if necessary (training provided upon hire). Helps students when needed with their clothing, snack time routines, and, when required, toileting activities, not limited to but including, prompting, self-toileting and diapering, all ages. Monitor student behavior during classroom sessions, providing redirection and support for students needing remediation or intervention. Aid in student assessment by collecting data and sharing observations with teachers. Facilitate safe transitions of students between locations within the school under the guidance of administrators and staff. The Lab Teaching Assistant (TA) provides instructional support to faculty and students in a laboratory setting. The TA is responsible for assisting in the preparation, execution, and evaluation of laboratory sessions for undergraduate courses. Working Conditions: * Requires time in a laboratory setting, handling materials and equipment. * May involve standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of supplies or equipment. Hours: Approximately 10-20 hours per week, depending on the course and departmental needs. TYPICAL ACTIVITIES Key Responsibilities: 1. Instructional Support: * Conducting laboratory sessions, including demonstrating techniques and procedures. * Provide guidance and support to students during lab activities to help them understand course concepts. * Answer questions, troubleshoot problems, and clarify instructions related to experiments. 2. We offer a world-class curriculum in math, science, and language arts for students in grades 1-12, creating an environment where exploration meets challenge, right in your local neighborhood. Students learn in small classes led by accomplished instructors and collaborate with a peer group who share their passion for learning. We have opened 20+ academies across the nation since 2016 and are still growing! In order to be considered for this position you must be legally authorized to work in the US.
