10. Takes all necessary and safety precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities (*)
11. Maintains accurate and complete records as required by law and per RCSS policy and administrative regulation (*)
12. Assists the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct and, for the classroom, develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure, and maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner
13. Makes provision for being available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day when required or requested to do so under reasonable terms
14. Establishes relationships with colleagues, students, parents and community which reflect recognition of and respect for every individual
15. Plans and supervises purposeful assignments for instructional assistants, teacherassistants, and volunteers (*)
16. May evaluate paraprofessional's job performance with department heads and/or administrators
17. Maintains fair and accurate grading policies and procedures, attendance, email and web pages as required through the technology system provided by the RCSS
18. The employee shall carry out such other and further duties, whether specifically listed above or not, as are assigned or required by such employee's supervisor, other appropriate school personnel, law board policy administrative regulation, department handbook, as are reasonably necessary to the efficient operation of the school system and its mission.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
Holder of a Bachelor's degree or beyond. Must have a valid Georgiateaching certificate in the teaching field in which they are employed from an accredited college or university.
CERTIFICATE AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
Meets Georgia state certification requirements in appropriate field of education.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to move around the classroom including stooping, bending, standing for extended periods and move heavy objects up to 20 pounds. Crisis intervention may require participating in physical restraints.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Required to attend school meetings, programs and activities outside the instructional day as mandated by RCBOE contract. Some work beyond the school day may be required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Deliver one-on-one specialized instruction to students with disabilities remotely, utilizing appropriate virtual meeting platforms. Services must adhere to the goals and objectives of the Individual Service Plan (ISP).
Skillfully adapt instructional strategies, curriculum, or therapeutic techniques for effective digital delivery to address the unique needs and ISP/IEP objectives of each student in a virtual environment.
Demonstrate proficiency with virtual instruction tools (e.g., screen sharing, interactive whiteboards, digital manipulatives) to maintain student engagement and facilitate learning and therapy.
Utilize current, evidence-based teaching methods, tools, and resources, including digital resources, to enhance learning and therapeutic outcomes.

Provide clear, professional feedback regarding virtual service outcomes to parents/guardians and private school officials, often communicating through digital channels.
Maintain accurate, confidential records of all virtual tutoring/therapy sessions, student attendance, service delivery logs, and progress reports in accordance with organizational policy and state regulations
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Strong foundational knowledge of special education curriculum, instructional design, and/or discipline-specific therapeutic practices relevant to the target student population.
Demonstrated expertise in implementing differentiated instruction, designing evidence-based interventions, and adapting services to meet the diverse and specific needs of students with disabilities.
Proven proficiency in leveraging technology for virtual instruction, teletherapy, assessment, and professional communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
Extensive experience working with students with disabilities, including the effective implementation and documentation of goals and objectives outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or Individual Service Plans (ISPs).
Excellent verbal, written, and digital communication skills necessary for effective collaboration with private school officials, parents/guardians, and other team members.

Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining accurate, confidential student records and documentation (including service logs and progress data).

Master's degree with a minimum of eighteen graduate semester credit hours of specific work in Mathematics required.

Ph.D. preferred. Successful college teaching experience is desirable.
