Teaching assistants help faculty with the conduct and delivery of courses. Services provided by teaching assistants include, but are not limited to, grading, monitoring, leading discussion sessions, offering office hour assistance to students, research, course presentation preparation, and performing clerical tasks associated with course instruction. The part-time Teaching Assistant will work across programs offered by two departments: 1) Youth Initiatives and 2) Children and Family Learning. The Teaching Assistant will support lead educators in the facilitation of camp, workshop and after-school programs throughout the year. This role works with children of all ages and in a variety of content areas. This is a part-time position. During the school year (September - June) many programs operate during after-school hours (2-7pm). Peak programming happens July - August during summer camp. Weekend and holiday work may be required, as necessitated by educational programs or special events.
