If clinical is included in the teaching responsibility and the clinical setting is outside of Ohio, the TA must hold a current, unencumbered RN license to practice in that setting); Membership in professional organizations is recommended. Minimum of 2 years of previous registered nursing practice required; previous registered nursing practice experience demonstrates competence in the clinical or laboratory area in which the teaching assistant will provide instruction at the direction of a faculty member.
