10.Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of the students.Appropriately reports and documents student incidents and injuries.
11.Assists with the feeding, toileting, and other personal needs of the children. This may include lifting children up to 50 lbs on to a changing table.
12.Assists in the documentation of daily activity in Tadpoles for parents.
13.Participates in the daily cleanup of the room, sanitizing of toys, tables, and diaper changing stations.
14.Maintains classroom supplies and equipment and keeps in good order.Assists lead teacher in ordering new or replacement supplies.
15.Participates in in-services and continuing education programs to meet professional growth goals and licensing guidelines of 12 clock hours per year.
16.Respects and maintains confidentiality of information about the students and families.
17.Quarterly refresh of classroom bulletin board.
18.Performs other duties as assigned by lead teacher or supervisor.
Requirements
1.Must be at least 18 years of age and have completed high school or have completed and passed high school equivalency exam.
2.Able to work a flexible schedule and hours depending on the needs of the center.
3.Self-motivated and able to follow through on assigned tasks with minimal direction or re-direction.
4.Sincere love for young children.
5.Sincere interest and comfortable working with children who have special needs.
6.Willingness and ability to be successfully trained in CPR, first aide or other areas required fulfillment of assigned responsibilities.
7.Ability to work, collaboratively, with all child care team members and early childhood therapy specialists.
8.Work experience in a child care setting and/or special needs children is preferred.
