QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience 6 consecutive months JIB experience and 100% certified in all workstations for internal promotes, or 1-year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail customer service environment.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Must be at least 18 years old; must complete Team Leader training classes; and in certain states, must be ServSafe certified. Requires ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English; and may require ability to speak another language to guests based on location of restaurant. Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to perform and understand basic math concepts (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division); ability to work well with diverse groups of people; proven analytical skills; and good organization and planning skills. Senior Geomorphologist and Restoration Practice Leader
Alta Science and Engineering has a current opening for a Senior Restoration Practice Leader. The successful candidate will oversee and support stream, wetland, and upland restoration projects throughout the Inland Northwest and beyond. You will work collaboratively with a team and your network to expand on our current restoration services. This role will involve a mixture of project management, business development, team management and mentorship, field and office work. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and work well with a creative and fun team that includes ecologists, engineers, and clients.

Responsibilities Include:
Serving as a key contact and client manager for a variety of restoration projects throughout the northwest.
Leading restoration-focused marketing and business development initiatives while developing and growing restoration client base
Managing and providing technical leadership for assessment, design, of projects involving streams, meadows, wetlands, and upland restoration including, flood control, culvert replacements, etc.)
Performing channel stability analysis, hydraulic modeling, sediment transport analysis.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in civil or related engineering field preferably with an emphasis in water resources, fluvial geomorphology, fisheries, ecology, or closely related degree.
Demonstrated knowledge of hydrology, geomorphology, hydraulics, and river and wetland processes. Demonstrated knowledge of fish habitat, and riparian and upland habitats.
Demonstrates understanding of market and technical proposals
10+ years of restoration and conservation work
Demonstrated network of restoration and conservation partners and/or clients
Effective written and verbal communication skills; strong technical writing skills
Strong organization and proven attention to detail
Ability to conduct field work, in some cases in adverse weather conditions and on rough terrain
Ability to work cooperatively with diverse teams
Willingness to travel periodically for site visits and client meetings
Valid drivers license with insurable driving record
A passion for natural resource conservation and restoration.
Desired Qualifications:
Familiarity with relevant federal regulations such as CWA, ESA, and NEPA, and Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and Nevada state regulations and permitting practices.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD design software, ESRI GIS platforms, spatial data analysis, and various hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software.
