The Site Lead will be responsible for directly performing daily operational tasks, leading a small team of 2-3 operators, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role requires operating heavy equipment, including loaders, excavators, and trommel screens. The Site Lead will guide all operations at this site as it relates to incoming material, production, and coordination with other departments. Responsibilities Assist in training personnel, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures Monitor the production of recycled materials to ensure quality and efficiency Oversee site operations, including personal operation of heavy equipment Maintain a safe working environment by following safety protocols and performing regular inspections Conduct small team meetings to discuss daily goals, performance, and updates Perform basic maintenance of equipment and facilities, reporting major issues to operations management and facilitating repairs Assist in implementing strategies to improve operational efficiency and increase production Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and environmental standards Qualifications Practical experience in recycling, composting, agriculture, construction, or waste management. Supervisory experience in one of these industries is a plus 3+ years of operational experience, including operating a range of heavy equipment 2+ years of supervisory experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to perform manual tasks and lift, pull, or push up to 50 lbs. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and record-keeping skills Knowledge of safety procedures in industrial settings Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting Previous experience with composting systems is beneficial Ability to manage and motivate a team Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
