Job Summary for Patient Scheduling Team Lead:
The patient scheduling team lead oversees a group of scheduling associates and serves as their point of contact for trouble shooting scheduling questions and concerns. They work with the scheduling supervisor to hold the team accountable, maintain a high level of scheduling accuracy, and optimize modality schedules. Train, manage and develop team members.
Expert in one or more assigned modalities and knowledgeable in all modalities/exams to provide coverage as needed.
Oversees assigned scheduling associate staff.
Adjust scheduling staff assignments daily as needed, maximize scheduling resources, and anticipate staffing needs to always ensure appropriate coverage throughout the day.
Communicate to scheduling associates their individual performance, including call volume and length of calls to keep the department on par with goals and expectations.
Silent monitor individual scheduling associate calls to observe employee efficiency, technical accuracy, and conformity to company guest service standards.
Requirements
Required -High School Diploma or GED
Experience Required:
One or more years' experience operating a telephone within a high-volume customer service/call center environment; preferably within a healthcare setting.
Customer service experience
Excellent typing/clerical proficiency.
Skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
Must be able to communicate articulately and comprehend written and verbal communications.

Ability to work overtime and on call/non-traditional schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
This role requires occasional bending, stooping, and stretching. Candidates must be able to independently lift, carry, push, pull, or maneuver up to 100 pounds, and up to 250 pounds with assistance. You will also need to use technology such as computers, tablets, telephone, and other office equipment to perform responsibilities.
