    MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN III - 3RD SHIFT - CARROLLTON, TX. Shift Hours = 10 PM - 6 AM The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for leading complex maintenance tasks, providing technical expertise, and supporting the development of junior mechanics. This role requires advanced mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve critical issues. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Lead the repair and maintenance of complex production equipment, including high-speed packaging lines, mixers, and fillers. Diagnose and resolve advanced mechanical issues, such as gearbox failures, motor malfunctions, and hydraulic system problems. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs in collaboration with Preventative Maintenance Technicians to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime. Train and mentor Mechanic 1, Mechanic 2, and Preventative Maintenance Technicians, providing technical guidance and leadership. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize equipment performance and support continuous improvement initiatives. Manage spare parts inventory, including ordering, tracking, and organizing critical components. Oversee the installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment and systems. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including HACCP, GMP, and OSHA requirements. Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode analysis (FMEA) to address recurring equipment issues. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: A high school diploma or equivalent, technical certification, or associate degree is preferred. 8+ years of experience in a maintenance or mechanical role, preferably in food manufacturing or a similar industry. Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and techniques. Strong leadership and mentoring skills. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and project management abilities. A minimum of 3 years of experience in the general facility, property maintenance, or golf club environment. Preferred Experience in performing minor repairs, painting, plumbing, or other related maintenance tasks is highly valued. Previous training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and building maintenance. Knowledge of and adherence to all OSHA regulations, electrical codes, and other compliance related facility maintenance.
