    BAE Systems is seeking an experienced full-time on-site SPLUNK Administrator at Washington Navy Yard to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system. This position is responsible for working with a Team to maintain the stability, availability and security of the Navy s SSP networks along with meeting security compliance requirements for both classified and unclassified environments. As an on-site System Administrator, you will: + Install, configure, and maintain SPLUNK software across several network environments + Ensure systems are properly scanned, agents are properly updated and deployed, and SPLUNK is updated + Manage data ingestion and User Access + Optimize search queries and ensure data integrity + Administer Splunk log server(s) to include log forwarders, creating/reviewing reports, dashboards, analysis of abnormalities, and anomalies in traffic + Track forwarders, receivers, and indexing rate statuses + Troubleshoot system issues to strengthen performance and tighten security + Monitor licenses statuses + Work with service area owners to mitigate, patch, or resolve findings + Develop and maintain SPLUNK procedures and troubleshooting guides + Support other System Administrators when requested + Support ATO efforts by maintaining STIG compliance for various networks and the U.S. Navy s Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) Our organization has supported the U.S. Navy s Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) continually since the program s inception in the 1950s. This mechanical engineering position will support the Navy Program Manager responsible for Strategic Systems Planning (SSP) Facilities Acquisition at TRIDENT Submarine Bases, primarily at Kings Bay, Georgia and Bangor, Washington. This engineering candidate is responsible for the development of conceptual HVAC and plumbing designs, Bill of Materials for mechanical equipment, and conceptual mechanical spaces layout. The selected candidate will perform technical peer reviews of architectural/engineering design submittals, lead the develop of unique SSP facility requirements & testing criteria, and perform constructability reviews of A/E produced design documentation. Candidate will also provide input and assist in the development of engineering study reports and help coordinate and resolve facility design/integration issues. The position will lead the development of comprehensive MILCON documentation (DD1391 forms, equipment estimates, & facility layouts) and the mechanical (HVAC & plumbing) portion of preliminary construction cost estimates. The position will also engage in working with subcontractors for input and review of scopes of work and review of site studies. The position will lead the mechanical design development of SSP facility requirements for construction documentation to ensure the constructed facility performs the necessary function of mission.
