Develop strategic plans for ICO. Identify and resolve strategic issues of substantial significance that affect the overall functioning beyond ICO, consult and advise senior University leadership. Advise senior management on programmatic and policy development.

Anesthesia TechnicalAssistant(Job Number: 1392960) Description Job Summary:Under direct supervision of the Anesthesiologist and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), sets up, troubleshoots, and provides general maintenance on all anesthesia equipment.Essential Responsibilities:On a daily basis and in accordance with department standards, maintains and services all electronic and mechanical equipment used by Anesthesia Department personnel. Sets-up transducers, calibrate sand zeros monitors. Assembles pediatric and adult ventilator circuits. Prepares procedural equipment such as the CVP, arterial line, Swan-Ganz, and routine intravenous lines. Operates, calibrates, and performs routine maintenance on a variety of technical equipment used in the operating room, such as the Drager and/or Narkomed anesthesia machines, HP Monitors, pulse oximeter and rapid infusion/transfusion systems.Identifies malfunctioning equipment, troubleshoots equipment problems, and refers more serious equipment problems to appropriate technical repair personnel when there are no established guidelines. Assists in the establishment and maintenance of a regular schedule of preventive maintenance and calibration of monitors utilized in the administration of anesthesia, including the BP physiological monitors, Datascope, Propac monitor, and Nellcor pulse oximeters. Assists in positioning and supporting patients for regional anesthesia procedures such as spinal and epidurals. Supports the Anesthesia Provider during insertion of arterial catheter lines and internal jugular catheters. Applies monitoring devices to the patient and operates all common physiological monitors (Datex, pulse oximeter, C02 monitor, BP monitors cuffs). Removes and disposes of all relevant supplies and equipment following use, exchanging soiled for clean parts between cases and restocking room carts with supplies and drugs. Assists in monitoring and ordering supplies for the department. Maintains an inventory in the main anesthesia workroom. Orders from the pharmacy and stocks all non scheduled drugs. May order and stock non-scheduled drugs. Cleans and decontaminates equipment per Sterile Processing Department protocols. This includes the disassembly of equipment and sterilization in accordance to the Center for Disease Control guidelines, to prevent the spread of infectious and contagious diseases. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other incumbents of the organization. Must possess an understanding of aseptic and infection control. Must be willing to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment. Responsibilities include strategy development, original research, and helping Scale tell its story by devising thought leadership campaigns and then drafting the white papers, articles, briefings, speeches, and op-eds that advance them.
You will:
Spearhead original research on how AI will transform our society and how AI is reshaping the global security landscape.
Help Scale articulate its point of view in an increasingly competitive ideas market by authoring white papers, articles, briefing memos, speeches, and op-eds.
Embed in product teams and business units to understand Scale's technology and where it is going.
Partner with internal stakeholders as we develop our applied AI strategy and the thought leadership campaigns to advance Scale's ideas and technology.
Lead cross-functional work streams with Scale's policy, communications, and marketing teams.
Help manage research and policy partnerships as well as Scale's policy blog and speaker series.
Devise plans for Scale business units and executives to engage in global debates on AI and security through participating in high level forms, speaking, engaging with the media, and meeting with customers and government officials.
Ideally you'd have:
A background in national security strategy.
Exceptional skills as an original researcher with 2+ years experience in government, at a think tank, in the tech industry, or as a strategy consultant.
A demonstrated track record of published articles, reports, and commentary in academic, policy, and high-quality media outlets.
Experience leading small teams and managing multiple, complex work streams.
History of driving cross-functional and internal strategic alignment.
Proven track record of strategy development.
Familiarity with AI technologies and their applications in and beyond national security.
Experience drafting speeches, op-eds, briefings, whitepapers, and strategy documents.
Ability to travel to Washington, D.C. and internationally in support of Scale executives and objectives.

An active TS/SCI U.S. government security clearance.
