Job Description
The purpose of the Trialing Specialist Technician is to support the Trialing Manager in executing research level yield trials on time, with high precision and accuracy in a safe, compliant manner in order to generate the highest quality data to allow identification of superior performing products in corn, soybean and wheat during the growing season. This position will have a determined break period between the growing seasons (approximately 3 months).
Duties:
Function as an integral member of a team responsible for planting, plot maintenance, spraying, note taking (phenotyping) and harvesting research level yield trial plots.
Operation and maintenance of agricultural machinery, and or agricultural research equipment to include: precision planters, drones, automated phenotyping equipment and research combines
Perform all tasks and behaving in a manner compliant with and in support of all safety and stewardship related company policies and practices, including completing all required company training courses.
Support on tasks in order to achieve the Trialing managers desired results, e.g., assisting the team with field layout, planting, phenotyping, harvest.
Effectively and regularly communicate with peers and supervisors regarding the status of projects, status of work related activities, quality and timeliness of data collected.
Qualifications
A.S. degree in an agricultural related discipline preferred and/or equivalent related experience considered. Candidates with relevant operational training or experience outside of agriculture will also be considered.
Experience in operating and maintaining agricultural machinery, and or agricultural research equipment is desirable.
A valid driver's license with an acceptable driver's history is required.
Ability to acquire and maintain a federal medical card to operate commercial motor vehicles is required.
Pesticide Applicators License Holder or ability to acquire.
Must be able to work with a moderate level of supervision while traveling to off-site locations to prepare, plant and accurately collect and manage data obtained from trials.
Plant, spray, maintain and harvest research level corn, soybean and wheat trials to meet data quality standard and operational deadlines.
Experience in the operation, adjustment, maintenance of and ability to do minor repairs on various plot equipment, including a planter, tractor, cultivator, sprayer, combine is desirable.

The primary responsibility of the Associate Technician (AR) is the preparation, cleaning and racking of lenses to be processed through the wash and/or hard coating machines. The employee will be responsible for adhering to the company's quality and safety requirements during all operations.

Inspect and make lenses ready for coating, including:
Separate envelopes and group by coating type and date. Verify information on the envelope is accurate.

Rack lenses onto appropriate tooling.

Sandblast machine parts as needed.
Actively participate and engage in continuous improvement processes

* Foams small chair parts (i.e. armrests, headrests, shell, etc.).
* Uses sewing instruction manuals to sew kit and core seat covers, small seat parts and miscellaneous items (i.e. armrests, headrests shells, curtains, control boots, flight deck armrest and pouches, wind laces, glare shields and crash pads, covers on burn cushions, etc.) for various makes and models of aircraft.
* Patterns small seat parts and miscellaneous items (i.e. armrests, headrests, shells, curtains, control boots, light deck armrest and pouches, wind laces, glare shields and crash pads, etc.).
2. Under immediate supervision researches, prepares, and signs off various documents for record keeping purposes as required by Duncan approved procedures, manufacturers' maintenance manuals, and FAA regulations (i.e. turnovers, removal sheets, flammability testing, W.O. Sheets, personal training log, and other work order related documents supporting the review squawks and expected hours).
3. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Job Specific Requirements
* Licenses/Certificates: Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; Respirator Fit qualified
* Attendance: Regularly scheduled attendance required
* Physical: Routinely lifts 50 lbs., occasionally 100 lbs.; reads small print; hears sounds associated with mechanical deficiencies; repetitive motion; works with moving parts and vibration; tolerates working in confined spaces and heights above four feet; tolerates products and materials associated with component maintenance; tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and sitting
* Environmental: Tolerates working in extreme temperatures and noisy environments
Education and Experience
* High School or College student
* Minimum six months related experience preferred
