Technology Risk Director
A Technology Risk Director is responsible for identifying, managing, mitigating, and reporting on technology risk for a defined technology function. This individual will be accountable for helping drive the technology risk strategy, build partnerships, and support all levels of the organization to make reliable risk based decisions. This leader works proactively with the various technology areas to implement practices that meet The Hartford's defined policies and standards for information risk management. They will help make risk-based decisions and trade-offs impacting annual investment strategies and project prioritization. The ideal candidate for this position is a proven thought leader, problem solver and integrator of people and processes, as well as an effective internal consultant. The risk leader must also possess solid domain competencies in a number of IT-risk-related disciplines, including security, data management, infrastructure, privacy and compliance.Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a risk management strategy, including the definition and attainment of related goals and objective Maintain a framework to effectively identify, document and assess risk and controls Be a “driver” and take accountability for delivering risk services and improving the risk function Think critically about business process, the systems that support them, the risks which may impact execution of the process, and the output of the assessment to determine if the results are reasonable Manage all the risk-related activities, including budgeting, planning, assessing, reporting and recommending appropriate remediation measures Exercise oversight and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions plans Develop strong relationships with IT leaders Develop and execute on a roadmap to achieve function objectives Effectively communicate risk status to senior management Influence risk decisions Effectively engage governance committees and business process owners Conduct Technology Risk Assessments, Risk & Control Self-assessment (RCSA) in partnership with risk owners and control owners from FLOD as well as enterprise wide Second Line of Defense (SLOD) teams.Partner with Second Line of Defense (SLOD) team and Internal Audit to enforce a 3 Line of Defense model Ensure all Technology risks and controls are captured in the enterprise-wide Risk TaxonomyWork with FLOD Issue Management Governance and enterprise-wide Issue Management teams to ensure Technology issues are categorized based on an industry accepted Risk Rating framework.Work with different stakeholders and external auditors to maintain up-to-date documentation for scoping, testing, and remediation of IT risks and controls across the enterprise.Assess audit findings / gaps including control weaknesses in coordination with different stakeholders and assist with development risk-based approach for management action plans
Experience
At least 12 years in Risk Management, Auditing, Compliance, Security and Technology roles Previously held a similar/transferable role in a large and complex environment Bachelor's DegreeCertification in technology risk (CISA, CRISC or FAIR) is preferred but not required Extensive experience engaging IT executives and implementing a vision Utilize a deep understanding of risk management methodologies, frameworks, and principles (e.g., SOX, COBIT, NIST, CSA, ITIL, PCI, GDPR, etc.) to evaluate and recommend best approach to mitigating risk with best-in-class controls.

Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$136,960 - $205,440

WGN-TV has an immediate opening for a Technical Director Engineer to work in a dynamic broadcast environment.

The successful candidate will be able to operate a wide variety of equipment in our state-of-the-art Ross Overdrive control rooms. The successful candidate will be responsible for switching fast paced newscasts and recorded programming. The candidate must have strong computer skills and be able to learn new technologies.

The successful candidate will be able to listen to director's commands and react swiftly and accurately. Must be able to prepare and switch video elements during live and pre-recorded programming while ensuring all content meets WGN's quality standards. Must be able to build switcher effects, create Ross templates and shots. The technical director should add creativity and ideas that enhance the final product. Candidate should be a problem solver and quick thinker to resolve existing issues and to work around problems that arise during live news.

The broadcast will be fast paced and highly produced using Ross Overdrive and Ross XPression. Be able to communicate and document effectively and concisely to the rest of the team. Interested candidate must be a team player.
Requirements

+ Five years total experience in professional live television broadcast operations required.

+ Previous Technical Directing experience required.

+ Detail-oriented and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

+ Working knowledge of common business software applications, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

+ Must be proficient with operation of broadcast equipment within assigned area, including but not limited to switchers, routing, CGs, video playback, remote camera operation.

+ May be asked to train others or create training documentation.

+ Other engineering experience a plus in areas of audio, robotic camera, transmission or Steadicam.

+ Experience with Ross Overdrive required.

+ Be able to communicate and document effectively and concisely to the rest of the team.

+ Self-sufficient and have a press-on-regardless attitude.

The WGN-TV facility originates WGN-TV/Channel 9 as well as three national networks. This position is a full time staff position which will require membership in IBEW.
