These topics include but are not limited to: Substations, Transformers, Relays, Circuit Breakers, Protection and Controls and NFPA70E Safety. The position is also responsible for being a subject matter expert (SME) for the company locations within the region of coverage. This includes supporting technicians on questions they have while in the field, creating SOPs, templates, test sheets and reports as well as preparing technicians for certification exams. They act as mentors in our apprentice programs. These individuals will also be expected to represent the organization at trade shows by providing presentations and papers, and by building relationships with technical schools by sitting on boards to develop curriculum and attending activities and recruiting fairs. This position reports to the Director of Operational Excellence and covers a specified region. Job Responsibilities
Evaluate best practices in region and determine standardization plan. Work with counterparts and company Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create field SOPs and standardized templates, test sheets, report MOPs, Work Instructions, etc

Lead process improvement initiatives

Act as a SME for field technicians providing just-in-time guidance or referring the technician to appropriate guidance materials.
Follow and achieve compliance, accreditation, and business goals including NETA Certification requirements and participation.
Be willing to act as a mentor in our Apprentice and Mentorship Program (AMP).

Required Experience and Qualifications:

SUMMARY: We are looking for Home based and Homebound Instructors for Fluvanna County Public School students who require specific types of instruction.
Home based: A program of home based instruction for students who are assigned to instruction at home due to IEP placement or disciplinary action.
Homebound: A program of homebound instruction for students, who are confined for periods that would prevent normal school attendance based upon certification of need by a licensed physician, physician assistant, or licensed clinical psychologist.
The location of services may occur in the student's home or a healthcare facility. If services are in the home, the parent or guardian must identify an adult who will be present at all times and agree to confine all pets prior to the arrival of the homebound teacher. If the home setting is not deemed appropriate for instruction and the student's condition allows, homebased and homebound instruction may take place: at the school, at the public library, or at another agreed upon location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain close contact with the student's teachers, counselor, or the program coordinator to receive and implement appropriate educational programs.
Deliver assignments and instruct the student as necessary.
Be present for all testing except those tests that are designated as take-home.
Regularly report academic progress to parents, teachers, and school counselors.
Maintain an accurate record of the hours of instruction provided for each assigned student and file such information with the Office of Testing, Accountability, and Alt. Ed.
Reports missed sessions to Student Services Assistant (missed by student or teacher) and include this information on the Homebound/Home-based timesheet.
Submit timesheets to the Student Services Assistant at Abrams Academy by the designated deadline.
Provide input, as appropriate, for measuring the student's academic achievement such as daily grading, report card grades, and awarding of credit.
Submit the student's completed work to the designated school representative in a timely manner.
Serve as a liaison between school and home.
Assist in the student's transition back to school.
Other duties as assigned.

Compensation Type: SalariedCompensation: $60.00 The Non-Credit Instructor in Information Technology is responsible for delivering instruction and training to a variety of students for the purpose of increasing their employability in technical or non-technical career fields. Instruction and training delivery may be accomplished in settings requiring in person, hybrid, or virtual presence on a regular basis throughout the duration of an assigned course or program. The Non-Credit Instructor may also meet with College or business partner representatives to learn business, occupation or industry-specific training needs pertinent to the courses the instructor has been assigned to teach.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Instruction & Student Learning
Delivers and facilitates assigned training curriculum, which includes classroom instruction, whether virtually delivered and/or in-person (as defined per course), and may occur at a customer site, a partner site, remotely (work-from-home), or at a college-owned or leased location.
Delivers and facilitates approved safety, technical, and skills curriculum using adult learning delivery methods and classroom audio/visual equipment while effectively managing class time.
Assists in identifying, planning, and implementing learning activities appropriate to student needs.
Performs active learning lessons as needed or directed for assessing skills needed to perform specific tasks during lab/practical evaluations.
Conducts refresher training or one-on-one sessions with students as needed or requested.
Assists in the maintenance of course materials as appropriate.
Employs appropriate assessment techniques to measure student performance in achieving course goals and objectives.
Conducts student surveys of the education and training experience for the purpose of continuous improvement.
Facilitation & Classroom Support
Reports to site or online class environment, whether during assigned class sessions or scheduled instructor-led study sessions, on time and prepared as directed.
Demonstrates professional behavior and exceptional customer service, teamwork, and professionalism in all interactions with college employees, students, client company employees, training participants, associated project vendors, and community members.
Keeps accurate and appropriate records of attendance and scores in accordance with established college and departmental policies and procedures. Handles student concerns with respect; follows guidelines, processes, and procedures; and reports any issues to leadership.
Crafts supplementary learning materials as needed in conjunction with our instructional designer, such as participant manuals, facilitator guides, and other learning tools, with such materials finalized at least one week prior to the first delivery session.
Possesses and maintains the required training certifications and knowledge that enable delivery of assigned content while engaged with the Office of Talent Strategy delivery.
May be assigned secondary documentation responsibilities as requested by department leadership. Adheres to agreed-upon deadlines as outlined in the Letter of Agreement.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Three (3) years of industry experience
OR
In Lieu of a Bachelor's Degree requirement, five (5) years of relevant industry experience may be accepted.

Knowledge of: mastery level of adult learning theory; delivering adult instruction; communication and computer; organizing and coordinating training programs; Java software development; Python; Statistics; Databases/SQL; Networking; Linux; Data Analytics/Visualization; Cybersecurity (ISC2 SSCP or CISSP req'd); Artificial Intelligence; Machine Learning, NLP/LLM.
Skilled in: providing quality instruction; learning technologies and the use of multi-media technology to enhance student learning; instructional planning and presentation; incorporating critical thinking, effective communication, and other general education outcomes in course content; effective time management; online communication and record-keeping.

Individuals appointed from this pool will have the primary responsibility to teach courses within Music including Applied Music Lessons.
Music Department - General Studies: The Music Department at Southern Oregon University develops students' creative and technical abilities in ways to prepare them to perform, teach, create, and support music making in their communities throughout the world. We support music as a part of a liberal arts education at Southern Oregon University by fostering the joy and discipline of learning, encouraging the exploration of diverse cultures, developing the ability to collaborate, and by preparing students to make music a meaningful part of their lives. Music offers music majors and minors an integrated curriculum designed to teach the varied skills necessary for a professional career in music and to develop the student's understanding and appreciation for the art of music. Music Department - Applied: Music provides individual instruction by nationally and internationally renowned artists in the areas of woodwinds, upper and lower brass, percussion, piano/keyboard, guitar (pop and classical) and voice (classical and musical theatre/pop). Applied instruction is designed to enable highly motivated students with diverse musical backgrounds to become skilled musicians capable of making artistic musical contributions to society as performers, educators, composers, music-business professionals, and active supporters and appreciators of music. All instructors are expected to participate in a one-time jury session each Fall and Spring terms. Vocal instructors may be expected to participate in weekly studio sessions. Duties (100%)
The primary responsibility of a faculty member is teaching. Teaching encompasses normal instructional activities beyond the teaching of assigned courses such as academic advising, working with students outside of class, posting and maintaining appropriate office hours, course and curriculum planning, etc.
Efforts associated with teaching may include, but are not limited to: preparation; direct instruction; assessment; student contact outside of class (office hours, appointments, email); presenting complex concepts to a group of diverse learners; listening; understanding and responding to student questions in real-time/in a classroom environment; and applying critical judgment to student work, both written and verbal delivery of information.
