Computer Vision Camera Systems Internship (Alphacore - Tempe, AZ - Onsite) We're looking for an intern who's equally at home on the optical bench and in a Python notebook, eager to turn raw sensor data into real-time insight. Qualifications • Working toward or holding a degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• Hands-on experience with camera hardware and basic lab instrumentation.
• Understanding of intrinsic & extrinsic calibration, camera-pose estimation, and radiometric calibration.
• Proficiency in Python or C++; experience deploying code on embedded/edge platforms is a plus. Interest in applying machine-learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) to imaging problems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the curiosity to dig deep into both hardware and software.
What You'll Do
• Calibrate advanced cameras - derive lens intrinsics, sensor extrinsic, and radiometric response curves.
• Integrate multi-sensor rigs - time-align cameras with IMUs, range finders, and custom electronics, then capture synchronized datasets.
• Build edge pipelines - deploy calibration-informed perception algorithms on embedded CPUs/GPUs for live testing.
• Prototype rapidly in the lab - design fixtures, script data collection, and iterate on hardware-software interactions for next-generation imaging systems.

**Summary:**
The IT Intern assists with providing end-user support to all employees. This would include working tickets from the helpdesk, taking support calls on the Hotline, and working with employees when they encounter a critical issue.

**Key Responsibilities:**
To observe and assist a qualified Systems Specialist with the following tasks:

**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Recent graduate, or current student focusing on an Information Technology degree
+ Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office Products (Word, Access, Visio, etc.)
+ Basic PC hardware troubleshooting\repair knowledge
+ Must be detail-oriented
+ Must be passionate about technology
+ Must always strive to provide an excellent end-user experience
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Knowledge of Active Directory
+ Familiarity of Microsoft Entra/Azure AD
+ Hands-on experience with Intune/Autopilot and provisioning devices
+ Experience with Mobile Device Management systems (MDM)
+ Experience with a Helpdesk/Support ticketing system
+ Ability to troubleshoot network connectivity issues
**Essential Job Functions:**
+ Be able to lift and carry ladders, drawings, personal computers, material, etc.
+ Be able to lift up to 50lbs.
+ Be able to spend significant time standing and walking on construction sites.
+ Be able to climb several flights of stairs or ladders throughout a typical day on a construction site.
+ Maintain a satisfactory driving record which, per Climatec's vehicle policy, allows the individual to drive on company business.
+ Be physically able to kneel, stoop and crawl.
