The Crystal Bridges Prospect Development Internship offers a hands-on opportunity for a student or recent graduate interested in learning how research, analytics, and strategy support the fundraising goals of a major arts and cultural institution.
The Prospect Development Intern will gain exposure to the research and data-driven processes that identify, qualify, and support donor relationships at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and the Momentary. Working closely with the Development team, the intern will assist with prospect research, data entry, reporting, and other initiatives that strengthen donor engagement and stewardship.
This role is ideal for someone interested in philanthropy, fundraising operations, nonprofit research, or data management and eager to learn how strategic insights inform successful fundraising and advancement efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with prospect research using public records, databases, and online resources.
Learn how to analyze and organize donor data to support fundraising priorities.
Help maintain and update records in the museum's CRM system.
Learn to create reports, profiles, and summaries that assist in donor cultivation and stewardship.
Participate in department meetings and collaborate on data integrity and prospect tracking projects.
Support other Development initiatives as needed, including events, communications, and research requests.
Qualifications:
Education and Academic Background
Current undergraduate or graduate student (or recent graduate) in Business, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Data Analytics, Research Methods, Library Science, or a related field.
Strong interest in philanthropy, museums, or the nonprofit sector.
