This is a business analyst role who's primary responsibilities are to review business processes in order to gain a complete understanding of current procedures, identify improvements, redesign business processes, and create alignment with business users to apply technology ensuring excellent results. The Technical Business Analyst is also responsible for generating and compiling reports based on the findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments. To be successful in this role the ideal candidate will need to have a strong working relationship with all levels within their assigned area. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Strategy & Planning Meet with business partners to determine business, functional and technical requirements and participate in application design, configuration, testing and deployment. Apply best practices and design patterns of best-of-breed applications developed on the various operational platform s . Guide users in formulating requirements, advise on alternatives and on the implications of new or revised processing analysis. Acquisition & Deployment Implement customer-focused solutions and develop features and integration for a suite of production applications. The ability to leverage data analysis tools like SQL, Excel, Crystal Reports, Power BI, and SSRS will also be critical. Plan phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) for a variety of projects. Perform administrative functions such as user creation, security management, configuration, and other customizations of the applications needed to keep the systems optimally configured. Operational Management Identify business trends utilizing real data, compile analysis reports that are delivered to business partners in an automated fashion. Proactively engage on continuous improvement efforts for application design, support, and practice development efforts. Provide technical assistance and end user troubleshooting for bug fixes, enhancements, and “how-to” assistance. Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the various systems and products. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Process Management or a related field required.
