Key Activities
Lead Engineer on capital projects.
Performs overall project management: defines scope and project budget, schedules management, construction management, start-up, conceptual phases, project closeout, cost estimation, system design, equipment sizing and selection, procurement, installation, check-out, including on time, in scope, and in budget manufacturing capital annual budget plans.
Guides to other project resources to follow industry-accepted best practices in project management.

Identifies improvements to existing standards using appropriate technical evaluation and involvement.
Engineering interface with business leadership team - maintains close working relationship with R&D, quality, manufacturing, merchandising, retail operations, operations leadership and financial operations.
Provides innovative technical solutions to meet business objectives with emphasis on productivity.
Collaborates with cross-functional line of business leaders on growth and operational initiatives, ultimately leading teams empowered to execute improvement strategies while identifying tools to improve process capabilities, reduce variability, and eliminate defects.
Implement improvements to existing standards using appropriate technical evaluation and involvement.
Utilize Continuous Improvement tools to deliver capital projects that meet all budgetary and performance commitments.
Provides support for Resource Conservation within the Unit.

Job Summary
The Project Manager in this role will be responsible for leading and supporting projects, programs, and initiatives of low to medium complexity while applying project management expertise to align with the company and group's strategic goals. This entails managing projects from concept to implementation, including tasks such as developing Statements of Work (SOW), business proposals, functional requirements, project plans with milestones, financials, and implementation strategies. The Project Manager will also provide guidance to multi-functional groups and the project team responsible for implementing strategies.

Project Managers lead Project Teams in the successful completion of construction projects from the initial hand-off from Estimating through final completion and close-out. * Conduct Project Start-Up 2 weeks prior to the start of the project. Conduct Project Close-Out meetings within 45 days of completion on each project. Document and distribute accurate and complete meeting minutes including "Lessons Learned".
* Create, maintain, and close out accurate project budgets that track project financial performance including productivity. Ensure all budgets are updated weekly at minimum.
* Ensure timely processing of the project A/R and A/P requirements in conjunction with corporate financial team support.
* A/P processed > 7 days.
* A/R processed in accordance with client requirements.
* Receivables maintained under 60 days.
* Ensure budgeted profitability is achieved on every project by collaborating with field operations. Field Production Report to be updated on a daily basis and reviewed/validated with field operations.
* Manage the prime contract and prime contract change orders. Ensure work outside of the prime contract scope is only performed after receipt of written authorization to proceed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Project procurement is submitted, approved, and completed in accordance with the project schedules and sequencing to ensure materials and subcontractors are available at the project site as needed by the field operations team.
* Developing, maintaining, and cascading the project schedule to field operations and subcontractor(s). Ensure F&B activities are in compliance with the overall project schedule and validated with field operations. Resolve all scheduling conflicts with the customer.
* Complete the Job Progress Report (JPR) process monthly.
* Review Project Daily Log on each project daily for accuracy and completeness. Communicate concerns to the project teams and field operations.
* Work closely with the General Superintendent and Equipment Director to ensure equipment usage does not exceed the budget.

* Communicate and collaborate with field operations on each project daily.
* Lead, coach and develop PE's and APM's. Perform regular check-ins with them to ensure that developmental concerns are addressed and appropriate training is provided.
* Perform project document process and control. Project documents include drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFI's.
* Review project safety requirements and collaborate with Regional Safety Manager to ensure that plan documents are updated and implemented with field operations at project start-up.
* Secure all licensing and permits required for the project prior to starting the job and in accordance with all local state and municipal laws.
* Secure all liability insurance, OCIP and/or CCIP prior to the start of the project according to contractual requirements and in line with F&B standard practices.
* Secure all bonding according to the contract requirements and in line with F&B standard practices.
* Communicating and upholding the Company's commitment to Integrity and Code of Ethics, as well as ensuring the same for the entire team.
* Other relevant tasks as assigned.

MISSION
To work as a member of the Engineering team to assist all departments in producing a smooth, efficient flow of quality work through the company, taking responsibility for development projects and the products that they create. This position requires someone with a proven track record for completing projects on time and on budget with little to no supervision, demonstrating good leadership skills, and working well with other departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Project Management:
Creates project feasibilities, to include project timelines and requirements documents
Oversees the writing of the project functional specification and manufacturing test requirements
Oversees design tasking and milestones (hardware, software, mechanical & system)
May participate in product design that aligns with engineering discipline from experience and/or education (especially for technical variant)
Reviews and approves the project test plans and reports (hardware, software, mechanical & system)
Manages project schedule and updates accordingly
Manages project budget and monitors variances
Reports on projects to Engineering Manager
Ability to provide battery quotes
Documentation
Manages all project documentation to completion, possibly writing such documentation if appropriate given experience and education

You will serve on BELFOR Cat teams following hurricanes and other regionalized damage recovery efforts. Project Managers are eligible to become BELFOR estimators.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate thorough understanding of all BELFOR service lines.
Construction track -- must understand scope, schedule work, communicate professionally, ensure project safety, and maintain quality control
Establish their core project management capabilities while at this level. Critical skills include time management, budgeting, scheduling, site supervision, customer contact, communication, quality control, safety, documentation, and change orders
