The ED EST is responsible for providing and supporting patient care and an exceptional patient experience in the ED. The ED EST is also responsible for supporting efficient throughput of both discharged and admitted ED patients. Alerts RN to any patients expressing the desire or demonstrating behaviors concerning for leaving without being seen. Reports any pertinent information to the Supervisor as it occurs. Motivates staff by communicating areas done well and areas requiring improvement. Assists with training of Environmental Service personal as directed by Supervisor or Manager.
