What You'll Do:Lead and manage long-term technical capability in new and existing technology and technical systems and manage organizational capability to sustain technical competence. Lead capital project process from research and development activities through selection, purchase and installation of new equipment. Insure effective team development of the technical services function through performance management processes. Serve as a key member of the technical network across the system in developing our technical capability. Lead and manage the design, development, and the implementation of technical systems improvements that support manufacturing reliability, process capability and cost objectives.Direct information technology, EHS, process control, capital planning, facilities maintenance and support systems assuring that the necessary resources are committed to meet the business needs. Develop and sustain capability to rapidly ramp-up new products, packages and processes to insure competitiveness in the marketplace. Work closely with operations to ensure the effectiveness of plant maintenance and to insure technology transfer objectives are met. Serve as key member of the plant leadership team in developing the plant's strategic direction, establishing priorities and allocating resources. Work effectively with plant functional managers to develop and maintain a positive employee relations environment.

What You'll Need:
Requires extensive knowledge of the operations from a technical perspective. High-level management and business skills, extensive financial knowledge base and HR policies and procedures are required. Organizational, interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills are imperative as well as computer, technical and training abilities. This experience is typically gained through a bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, business or related field, as well as several years of managerial experience in manufacturing environment.
