This is a
Computer Field Technician Position
doing hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units. To be successful in this position,
you must have prior experience with laptop and desktop hardware.
Job Details:
This is a 1099/per call position
Pay is based solely on the number of calls completed.
Calls start at $35 and go up based on distance traveled
Pay period: Every Friday after the first week worked
Tickets are run Monday-Friday during the day shift. Candidates must be regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays to be considered.
Call volume is variable but is usually 2-5 calls per day
You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you.
You must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to run these calls. You will be visiting multiple work sites throughout your day.
You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day.
You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day.
The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you.
You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial)
You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided.

Must have prior hands on experience with replacing components on laptops and desktops
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Must be comfortable with daily local travel

Target Salary Range
$39,000 - $62,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Essential Job Functions
Adhere to all work order policies and procedures

Follow the Preventative Maintenance program
Handle guestroom maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner
Maintain files of and be familiar with all operational manuals and warranty agreements for equipment
Immediately follow up on any alarms to determine the exact location and cause; determine emergency status and report to Guest Services and/or the General Manager with findings
Attend monthly all-employee meetings and any other functions required by management
Attend fire drills and trainings
Maintain key controls
Conduct daily property tour of the hotel and exterior perimeter for debris and trash removal; Check the lighting and irrigation
Experience and Education:
Two years of progressive experience in hotels, working in construction, general maintenance or related fields preferred
Prior knowledge and usage of door lock system, construction related tools and equipment
Laundry room, kitchen equipment and overall hotel equipment repair experience
Experience using Quore or other Hotel Maintenance related applications
Experience with brand standards a plus
Current certifications as required by Federal, State or Local governing agents pertaining to trade requirements (HVAC, Pool Operation, etc)

Minimum Qualifications for GS-11:
Specialized Experience: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service that included experience such as:
* Coordinating and monitoring a variety of administrative projects (e.g. budget, personnel, travel, space, logistics).
* Identifying and recommending solutions to a wide range of administrative problems.
* Analyzing administrative data from a variety of sources to develop trends, patterns, profiles, estimates, and studies.
* Preparing preliminary and finished reports and documents.
* Representing the office in dealings with vendors and personnel from administrative support organizations.

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Minimum Qualifications for GS-12:

The NST provides onsite and remote Tier 2 support that requires prompt action and quick resolution of user IT issues to minimize downtime. These IT issues include hardware, software, applications, network diagnostics, cloud and other IT services, as requested.
The NST reports to an Area Technical Lead and provides IT Field Operations (ITFO) support for 24x7 LANs and associated applications, peripherals, connectivity, and end-users in a Service Desk supported Tier II environment. Job Duties/Responsibilities:
This role will include, but will not be limited to the following responsibilities:
Provide LAN administrator support with the installation, configuration and maintenance of network communication devices, servers, network storage arrays and tape backup units
Provide support of network attached devices such as computers, printers, fax machines, biometric devices, electrocardiograms, x-ray machines, smart display, and sensors
Provide support of mobile and wireless devices to include smartphones, tablets, and hotspots
Assist in testing, applying, and maintaining server configurations and related security patches
Assist in maintaining and checking the health of systems and backups to include restore testing
Monitors ITSM (ServiceNow) assignment groups and applies troubleshooting needed to resolve tickets

Participate in all inspections of life-safety systems including extinguishers smoke alarms etc. to maintain proper safety standards
Follow the Preventative Maintenance program
Handle guestroom maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner
Maintain files of and be familiar with all operational manuals and warranty agreements for equipment
Immediately follow up on any alarms to determine the exact location and cause; determine emergency status and report to Guest Services and/or the General Manager with findings
Attend monthly all-employee meetings and any other functions required by management
Attend fire drills and trainings
Maintain key controls
Conduct daily property tour of the hotel and exterior perimeter for debris and trash removal; Check the lighting and irrigation
Experience and Education:
Two years of progressive experience in hotels, working in construction, general maintenance or related fields preferred
Prior knowledge and usage of door lock system, construction related tools and equipment
Laundry room, kitchen equipment and overall hotel equipment repair experience
Experience using Quore or other Hotel Maintenance related applications
Experience with brand standards a plus
Current certifications as required by Federal, State or Local governing agents pertaining to trade requirements (HVAC, Pool Operation, etc)
Minimum High school diploma, GED or equivalent
