Providing IT support for desktops, Laptops, printers, peripherals, telephone systems, and mobile devices. Triage, taking ownership, troubleshooting and liaising with other IT teams in order to resolve and manage user expectations. What we are looking for Experience & Knowledge Previous experience within an IT Support role. Customer oriented, with a passion for delivering excellent service and for continuous improvement of services. Good problem-solving skills, with a solution focused approach. Ability to adapt and handle a constantly changing flow of support calls and walk-up technical assistance. INTERNSHIP HIGHLIGHTS: 11-week paid summer internship program Lunch and Learn Series with Quanta Executive Speakers Site visit opportunities Multiple networking opportunities between interns and upper management What You'll Do As an IT intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience and contribute to various aspects of our organization's information technology operations. You will work closely with our IT team, assisting them in day-to-day tasks, troubleshooting technical issues, and participating in IT projects. This internship will provide you with valuable exposure to different areas of IT and help you develop essential skills in a professional environment. This position is on site in our Corporate office in Houston, Texas. ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS/DUTIES: Assist with day-to-day tasks and projects across the IT department. Participate in team meetings, workshops, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge. Assist with user support: Respond to and resolve basic technical issues reported by end-users through various channels such as email, phone, or in person. Assist in testing and evaluating new software applications or system upgrades to ensure functionality and compatibility. Assist in monitoring network performance, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and implementing basic network configurations. Assist in data management: Support the IT team in data backup, recovery, and maintenance tasks.
