RESPONSIBILITIES
* Phone Support: Provide first level phone support for inbound support calls to the Service Desk. This also includes remote support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, etc.
* Incident Management: Documentallincidents, problems and requests in the company ticketing system and escalate as needed to service/product owner(s), as well as management.
* Asset Management: Maintain inventory of all physical and digital assets owned by National CORE; including new hardware, software licenses, domain registration, etc. Make recommendations for the ordering of assets, as needed, to ensure timely deployments.
* Troubleshooting: Identify problems in the environment and drive them to resolution; from making sure the workplace is clean to identifying recurring failures and notifying the appropriate service/product owner(s) to ensure root-cause resolution.
* Communication: Be able to identify problems in the environment and communicate with peers and customers. Provide a level of discretion when it comes to sensitive data and communication such as confidential company information.
* Customer Service Driven: Self-prioritization and timely resolution of incidents and requests to support our customers technology needs. Design, plan and conduct training on the use of systems and software best practices. Search for solutions to enhance workflows to drive automation and efficiency and present recommendations to management.
* Project Management: Other project or administrative tasks as assigned by the Director of IT to ensure the overall success of the departments strategy and goals. This requires the ability to manage multiple tasks and resources to ensure timely completion of all assignments.
* Attend company sponsored events that relate to the development of the team, which from time to time may include overnight stays at locations away from the employees home.
* Ability to work flexible hours. Ability to travel is required.
* Must possess a valid drivers license, current automobile insurance and reliable form of transportation.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Individual Occupational Requirements for Information Technology (IT) Management Series, 2210 (Alternative A).
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
GS-09: Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree

For GS-9: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 that demonstrated knowledge of computer requirements and techniques in carrying out project assignments consisting of several related tasks, such as development of minor modifications to parts of a system on the basis of detailed specifications provided. The assignments must have shown completion of the following, or the equivalent: Analysis of the interrelationships of pertinent components of the system; planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment; and personal responsibility for at least a segment of the overall project.
For GS-11: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 that demonstrated accomplishment of computer project assignments that required a range of knowledge of computer requirements and techniques. For example, experience in developing modifications to parts of a system that required significant revisions in the logic or techniques used in the original development. Accomplishments, in addition to those noted for the GS-9, normally involve the following, or the equivalent: Knowledge of the customary approaches, techniques, and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization; planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls; and adaptation of guidelines or precedents to the needs of the assignment.

For GS-14: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 that demonstrated experience in serving as senior IT specialist and consultant to senior management in support of organization wide IT policy, budget and plans for systems development, acquisition, installation, operation and maintenance; planning, organizing, and overseeing the activities of the IT organization and reviewing policies, procedures, mission objectives and organization design for the staff; serving as the recognized authority in the analysis and direction of IT programs and issues; and in researching, interpreting, analyzing and applying operations and security guidance.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES
Requires ambulatory ability to move to various office and classroom-type locations and to bend, stoop, crawl and reach to install cables and equipment. Requires sufficient hand eye coordination and dexterity to make small component connections. Requires sufficient visual acuity to read technical documents and instructions and align small components. Requires sufficient auditory ability to carry on routine conversations. Requires the ability to lift, push, and pull objects of medium weight (less than 75 lbs.) on an occasional basis. Requires the ability to work in confined areas with noise variations, dust, and limited ventilation. Must be able to complete District-sponsored training in occupational safety and health and hazardous materials awareness within a reasonable amount of time.

Any combination equivalent to: An associate degree in computer science or a related field plus two (2) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. IT certifications may substitute for education or experience.
