This is a
Computer Field Technician Position
doing hardware repairs and installations on laptop and desktop units. To be successful in this position,
you must have prior experience with laptop and desktop hardware.
Job Details:
This is a 1099/per call position
Pay is based solely on the number of calls completed.
Calls start at $35 and go up based on distance traveled
Pay period: Every Friday after the first week worked
Tickets are run Monday-Friday during the day shift. Candidates must be regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays to be considered.
Call volume is variable but is usually 2-5 calls per day
You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you.
You must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to run these calls. You will be visiting multiple work sites throughout your day.
You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day.
You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day.
The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you.
You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial)
You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided.

Assists other areas of IT with the installation and troubleshooting of Servers, switches, routers, wireless access points, UPS, Access Control and Security Cameras.
Support various third-party vendors with plant specific computer systems.
Work with networking to replace or install network cable between offices and network cabinets.
Document hardware locations and configurations with IT inventory system.
Use Help Desk ticket system to track all support requests.
Review and document all changes or new processes in IT knowledgebase system.
Travel and work within office areas, poultry plant, and feed plant locations.
Requires a flexible schedule to support facilities in production 24/7 as well as to participate in an on-call 24/7 support rotation.
Will need to work at plant when it is running outside of normal operation schedule.
Will be trained to use scissor lift to aid in support.

Position Overview
To Provide Help Desk support to the It department and the Walton Arts Center organization
Requirements:
Principal Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance
Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
Walk the customer through the problem-solving process
Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel

Record events and problems and their resolution in provided ticketing platform
Follow-up and update customer status and information

Summary of Job Duties:The Infrastructure & Research Technology Support Specialist plays a critical role within the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture (UADA) Division Information Technology Services (DITS) team. This position supports the implementation, maintenance, network infrastructure, and all research technologies across all supported UADA departments and programs.
The Infrastructure & Research Technology Support Specialist position is responsible for implementing and supporting the needed technology for research and academic support while also supporting critical IT infrastructure for operational needs which includes but is not limited to network equipment maintenance, indoor/outdoor wireless network support, research software support, server support, building security systems, etc. This role supports technologies used by UADA faculty, staff, and students while executing technology strategies that support the institution's mission. This position provides end-user support (e.g., computer technical support, software application support, printer/scanner/copier support) to users on the Fayetteville main campus, the UADA Shult Agricultural Research & Extension Center, Research stations, and the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station headquarters and surrounding facilities. This position will support special projects related to start-up research projects that further the mission of UADA. This role will also assist with ITS Help Desk coverage, providing general end-user problem resolution for Division and University owned hardware and software.
This position reports to the UADA Division Information Technology Services Director of Infrastructure & Research/Academic Technologies. The position is based in Fayetteville, Arkansas and will require some travel across the state.
Key Responsibilities:
End-User Support: Provide desktop computer, laptop computer, mobile device, and accessory/peripheral support to UADA end-users at all supported locations. This will require some hands-on, in-person support while also requiring some remote support as well.
Technology Integration & Management: Oversee the deployment and maintenance of technology infrastructure supporting research and academic activities including classroom technology support. Ensure the integration of new technologies to enhance teaching, learning, and research.

Overview
The Technical Services Building Systems Specialist II (BSS II) is skilled member of the Technical Services (TS) team, with a strong technical background in building automation, HVAC, commissioning, or test and balance. The BSS II is responsible for evaluating, programming, optimizing, and testing the operation of new and existing building systems both on-site or remotely. The role requires the ability to plan, document, and conduct work requiring judgement as well as working independently with minimal direction. The primary expectation for the role is to produce optimized energy and project outcomes for retro-commissioning (RCx) and relevant new construction commissioning (Cx) scopes with a solutions based approach and mind set. . Additionally, the BSS II will collaborate with project delivery team including: construction management, facilities management, engineers, and trade partners to fulfill the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
Responsibilities
• Perform assigned duties in accordance with ENFRA policies, procedures, safety guidelines.
• Documentation, collaboration, and communication regarding activities, technical issues, and solutions development to project delivery team and Team Manager on a regular basis.
• Execute and complete assigned tasks and deliverables in a timely manner.
• Participate in site surveys, documentation review, and due diligence activities to determine facility conditions and develop energy conservation measures.
