This individual will support a multi-instructor and developer workforce providing curriculum and instruction for our U.S. and International Program stakeholders and in support of schoolhouse and shipboard training. Develop new training materials, revise existing curriculum, plan and execute development tasks to meet key milestones. Conduct formal training for internal and external customers, conduct instructor evaluations, and submit training reports. Requires ability to train in a shipboard and waterfront environment. The Child Abuse Prevention Training Specialist will work to support the development, delivery and promotion of the NYSPCC Training Institute curricula and materials. The Child Abuse Prevention Training Specialist, in collaboration with other members of the Training Institute, will help to support local, national and international child abuse prevention initiatives. The Child Abuse Prevention Training Specialist will help develop and deliver all abuse prevention programming targeting youth and parents/caregivers, with a focus on the Safe Touches program, an evidence-based child sexual abuse prevention program for K-3 rd grade students that has been adapted for children with autism and similar disabilities. Additionally, this Child Abuse Prevention Training Specialist position will be the point person for development, scheduling and delivery of all workshops for youth in 4 th through 12 th grades on topics of sexual abuse, bullying and sexual harassment prevention, online safety and healthy relationships. Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops. Analyze training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs. Review and evaluate training programs for compliance with government standards. Maintain office training environment. Coordinate established courses with technical and professional courses provided by community schools and designate training procedures. Prepare training budget, if requested. Customer training needs assessments and training plans. End user training at customer sites. Create, edit, and maintain training/user documents pertaining to software and hardware installations and configuration, user and viewer guides, procedures, service manuals, operation and maintenance guides, reports and brochures. Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and/or project management in understanding the user requirements. Ensure accuracy and completeness of technical documentation. Maintain strong working relationships with personnel at various geographically dispersed locations to ensure proposal input is accurate, compelling, and timely. Continuously develop expertise in the company's products. Research and evaluate new documentation tools and methods; document and improve documentation processes. Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with both technical and non-technical users. Work on business development assignments. Demonstrate company products.
