SAIC is seeking a Technical Training Instructor to support business operations. The Instructor will develop, direct, plan and evaluate training programs or activities to meet the customer's learning objectives.
Responsibilities include:

* Needs analysis, development of criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of course objectives, evaluation and learning assessments of instruction and curriculum, supporting development and evaluation of technical docs and pubs. Where instructing within a certified educational institution, responsible for determining the organization, communication and delivery of the course content and materials, and for developing learning activities and demonstrations.
* Collaborating with customer or internal functional organization to develop, enhance, and/or evaluate new or existing learning objectives and course content.
* Assisting and supporting creation of course content, training materials, visual aids and documentation to support a variety of instructional formats such as lecture, lab exercises, field training, computer-based training (CBT), and/or web-based training (WBT).
* Supporting the development of exam materials and may be responsible for testing and qualitative evaluation of participant's attainment of learning objectives.
* Monitoring and evaluating training programs, assessing results, and implementing enhancements as needed.
* May require support to administer training programs to meet student needs, which may require post-training follow up to determine applicability of course material or training approaches.
* May support the evaluation and/or oversight of contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer instructor-led training teams and programs.

Required:

* Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance

The Technical Trainer/Instructional Designer position will support training efforts focusing on Commercial Aviation, Business Aviation, and Maritime customers, as well as internal support personnel. As a member of this team, you will be instrumental in training both internal and external customers as well as vendors on the installation and maintenance of Viasat's Inflight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFEC) solution. Additionally, you will design curricula and develop engaging training materials. You will leverage industry-standard development tools to produce high-quality content; and use a variety of adult learning methodologies to design and create assessments, simulations, interactive exercises, and quizzes.
Job Responsibilities

Requirements



Minimum 3 years of training in Satellite Communication or Technical environment. Proficient in delivering classroom and OJT including the ability to interact and communicate well with diverse work groups while maintaining control of the learning environment and outcome Ability to develop, use and follow curriculum guides Ability to read and translate wiring diagrams Experience in developing course designs, course materials, student resource materials, educational aids, and similar educational materials utilizing the ADDIE model of development Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Exceptional attention to detail in delivery as well as creating and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines Ability to work closely with internal subject matter experts to capture and document information and processes Must be able to communicate effectively with diverse groups including engineering teams, program management, customers, and 3rd party vendors Ability to assist and support the creation and ongoing maintenance of operational documentation as well as training content Bachelor's degree or equivalent Ability to travel up to 50% percent domestic and international
