The Transportation Technologist Design Option is a permanent, full-time position with the Alabama Department of Transportation. Positions are located statewide. This is paraprofessional civil engineering work serving as a roadway designer completing sheets of roadway plans or other closely related duties.

Skills and Abilities Ability to work independently Ability to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot: an automotive, electrical, installation, and mechanical background is a plus. Journeyman License and or CFESA certification not required but would be a plus. Strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and soft skills.
