Job Description Responsibilities: • Troubleshoot installed vehicle radios based on customer stated performance issues • Diagnose problems associated with remote controls and fixed base stations • Work with different types of radio control devices, including local, DC, E&M and tone • Keep track of assigned inventory items, such as hardware, wire, and connectors, and communicate replenishment needs • Work professionally and productively unsupervised individually or as part of a team • Think on your feet to come up with innovative solutions for complex or hard to fix problems • Attention to detail on Project documentation and internal/customer paperwork Qualifications Requirements: • Read and interpret basic schematics in Installation and Maintenance Manuals • Use and interpret basic meters, including multimeters • Experience working with RF based electronic circuits • Ability to disassemble and diagnose mobile radio problems down to the board level • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot antenna issues on base stations or mobile radios • Ability to stand and walk for entire shift, 8+ hours • Ability to reach, bend and stoop frequently • Possess basic hand tools and know how to use them • Possess basic computer skills for radio programming as needed • Must have a valid unrestricted driver's license and safe driving history as determined by the Company. Driving record will be checked.

About The Navys Advanced Electronics / Computer Field (AECF) offers extensive training in electronics, computer systems, radar, communications, and weapons fire control systems, including the Navys advanced missile systems and Aegis radar. These technicians are essential to the ships Combat Systems department, ensuring readiness for combat operations across the fleet. Responsibilities As an Electronics Technician (ET) or Fire Controlman (FC), you may: Maintain and repair radar, communication, and navigation equipment. Operate, maintain, and repair fire control radars, mainframe computers, large screen displays, LANs, weapon control consoles, and automatic gun systems. Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical systems used in weapons systems. Support combat systems readiness aboard aircraft carriers, Aegis cruisers, and other surface ships. Work Environment ETs and FCs serve on fleet units worldwide and at shore-based repair facilities. Expect assignments aboard ships, at remote stations, and in technical repair shops. Work is highly technical, requiring precision and teamwork. After A School, technicians may attend advanced C Schools. College credits are often available for Navy training.
