    This is a position in a water bottling plant. The role will be responsible for managing the operation of equipment and the repairs and maintenance of the equipment. Experience with blow molding is a plus. The candidate will be expected to use safe work practices and counsel other employees in doing the same. Included in this is understanding and complying with the lock-out/tag-out procedures, remaining up to date on plant and safety matters and participating regularly in department/plant safety meetings. Some of the specific tasks required: Read and interpret electrical power distribution, control, ladder logic, piping and instrumentation diagrams Install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot A/C and D/C motor control equipment Help maintain an organized storeroom area for spare parts Troubleshoot, and repair 3-phase 460V power distribution systems, 120VAC control systems, and low voltage DC control systems Maintain, and troubleshoot PLC systems and have a basic knowledge of ladder logic and how they control machines. Determine if production equipment needs to be repaired or services; coordinate machine downtime and repairs with production management Prioritize work when more than one issue needs addressed at a time Take an active role in the requisitioning of parts/materials necessary for the continued operation of the plant Perform preventative maintenance routines as scheduled and as needed Know all safety warning signs and signals and take corrective action Communicate maintenance issues with other shifts to ensure continuity of operation. Read and record comments in both Maintenance CMMS and Production logbooks Ensures that housekeeping in the Maintenance Department is maintained to a safe level and that equipment, tools, supplies, etc. are properly stored at all times. Maintains a safe, clean and organized work area. Must be able to report to work on time and work all hours required of the job, including mandatory overtime; may be required to occasionally cover shifts other than the one for which hired. Remains current on plant and safety matters, participating regularly in department/plant safety meetings. Performs other work-related duties and projects as directed. Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience: Minimum of five (5) years electrical experience working in a heavy industrial environment. Reconcile headcount needed on a per shift basis based on schedule production demands. Perform scheduled quality checks, disposition product, identify any deviations that may occur and take the appropriate action to include stopping production on the machine if necessary. Inspect finished product to ensure quality standards are being met. Complete batch/code changes, tank changes, as well as sub lots as needed. Document required information on manufacturing logs and/or POMS system. Investigate, identify and correct or escalate any inefficiency in the machine's performance including mechanical wear, alignment, adjustment, and setup issues. Develop standard work for troubleshooting and setups/changeovers. Read blueprints and use tools to measure the product, ensuring the output meets specifications, making adjustments/repairs as needed. Perform and document scheduled cleaning activities. Assist in Quality Improvement or VIP programs if required.
