The Production Media Technician is responsible for the capture, organization, processing, and delivery of event media, as well as providing light technical and IT support to support seamless production operations.
This role supports both office-based media workflows and on-site event execution, ensuring that video, audio, and media systems function reliably before, during, and after events. The position plays a key role in maintaining media quality standards and operational continuity across the event season.
Key Responsibilities
In-Office Responsibilities
Upload, format, organize, and maintain event photo and video files across designated systems.
Prepare and format SD cards, hard drives, and storage devices for upcoming events.
Review media error logs and resolve issues prior to publishing or delivery.
Respond to client media inquiries via email with professionalism and accuracy.
Assist with event preparation by confirming equipment readiness and system configurations.
Support updates to media documentation, workflows, and process improvements.
Provide basic first-level IT and technical support, including:
Password resets and user access support
iPad resets and device troubleshooting
Basic printer and workstation assistance
Assign and manage Microsoft user accounts using Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Azure, SharePoint, and Exchange tools.
Event / On-Site Responsibilities
Capture high-quality video footage of hundreds of performance routines each event weekend using Spotlight Events equipment and software.
Operate cameras and related media equipment (camera operation experience preferred).
Ensure accurate logging, tagging, and organization of all performance footage.
Monitor judges' audio feeds to ensure clarity and proper functionality.
Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot cameras, computers, software, networking, and media systems.
Provide real-time technical troubleshooting during live events.
Partner with the Technical Assistant to optimize stage lighting and audio inputs.
Assist with stage setup and general event setup once media systems are in place.
Support truck loading and unloading of production and media equipment.
Back up video files, SD cards, and performance data after each event segment.
Collaborate with stage teams and social content staff to capture market-quality imagery and video clips.
Key Qualifications & Competencies
Experience using computer software for media capture, transfer, and basic editing.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
Ability to work independently in fast-paced, high-pressure live event environments.
Comfort with basic technical troubleshooting and production equipment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows OS and Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365 tools. (Advanced Preferred)
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Valid U.S. driver's license and willingness to travel nationwide.
Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and travel-heavy schedules.
Experience in live events, media production, AV, or performing arts production (Preferred)
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Travel is required during our event season (January-July), and team members must reside within reasonable proximity to a U.S. international airport or hub to accommodate frequent travel.
On average, the role involves attending approximately 8-12 regional events each year, typically lasting 3-5 days, with the possibility of 1-2 national events lasting 6-8 days.
Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, setting up equipment, and working in a variety of environments, such as event venues, hotels, and stages. Staff members must also be comfortable sharing hotel accommodations with same-gender colleagues during event assignments.
Mock Training: All new/first year event staff are required to attend an audition and training session in Eagle, Idaho (Typically hosted January 5th-9th). Spotlight provides flights, transport, lodging, and meals. Travel may occur one day before or after the scheduled dates.

Disassembly, repair and re-assembly of Heavy Tuck & Trailer components; including but not limited to; diesel engines, transmissions, axles and any other components or systems.
Cleaning up their assigned work area after each job, Washing or fueling of trucks as required, Basic facility repairs & company tool repairs as required.
Maintaining a safe and clean working environment at all times, reporting any safety concerns or un-safe tool conditions to Shift Lead or Fleet Supervisor.
Driving of Tractor/Trailers and/or Trucks for purposes of test drives and/or the return of vehicles to the various Shamrock division facilities.
Properly using and maintaining company tools while performing repairs and when not familiar with operation asking for instruction/direction from a Supervisor.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Preferred
Level II - Three (3) years related experience in a Heavy-Duty Truck repair environment. Including but not limited to; Private Fleet, Truck Dealership, Full Service Leasing Company or Government Sector.
Level III - Five (5) years related experience and knowledge in a Heavy-Duty Truck repair environment. Including but not limited to; Private Fleet, Truck Dealership, Full Service Leasing Company or Government Sector.
All levels of Fleet Technician must provide all hand tools and tool boxes (lockable) required to perform the Essential Duties and Responsibilities as described above.
