What you will be doing
As a Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring building equipment for safety purposes and repairs. Troubleshooting refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical, and electrical problems, performing repairs, documenting solutions, and making recommendations for further action.

This role is a hands-on electronics technician position responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting electrical assemblies and components.
Responsibilities
Assemble and terminate a wide range of cable and wire harness configurations used in electronic test equipment
Build, install, and integrate electronic components and subassemblies by following clear, detailed work instructions
Interpret part numbers, procedure books, and kit-based documentation to complete assemblies accurately and efficiently
Perform precise crimping, stripping, connector assembly, and light mechanical integration using standard hand tools
Execute electrical testing, verification, and basic calibration using digital multimeters and related test equipment
Support troubleshooting efforts to confirm proper functionality and ensure all assemblies meet quality specifications
Operate independently while collaborating effectively within a small, highly supportive technical team
Maintain an organized, safety-focused work environment and adhere to all production and documentation standards
This is a Direct Hire position. The hours are Mon-Fri 7AM-3PM. The pay Depend on Experience.

Akkodis is seeking a Electronic Technician for a 12+ Contract position with a client located in Norwood, MA
Pay Range: $20/hr - $26/hr (The rate may vary based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)
Position Responsibilities
Assemble electronic components, subassemblies, and systems.
Test and calibrate electronic assemblies using test equipment and standardized procedures.
Perform final inspection and prepare electronic products prior to shipment to customers worldwide.
Test, debug, and repair products returned products to meet customer needs.
Ensure that work area and equipment are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly condition and established company policies and procedures are adhered to.
Keep workstation, tools, and equipment in a neat and orderly manner.
Understand and comply with all company safety rules and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, bachelor's degree in engineering technology, or equivalent military training / experience.
2+ years' electronic/manufacturing technician experience.
2+ years' experience with hand assembly / soldering and component replacement on surface mount and through-hole PCBs.
2+ years' experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic assemblies.
Experience in diagnosing and repairing faults in analog and digital PCBAs using multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic tools.
Experience reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Experience with surface-mount and through-hole soldering and desoldering.
Experience using software-based diagnostic tools and firmware flashing utilities.
Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics.
Ability to use standard bench test equipment (DMM, Scope, etc.).
Familiarity with IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610, IPC-1711/7721) for PCB inspection rework.
Demonstrated ability to isolate component-level failures and perform corrective actions.
